I ordered 7 cakes from Phoenix Bakery for a wedding and am so glad I did! They were straight off the menu, transparently and well-priced, and looked great with rustic piping. Jodi was incredibly friendly and easy to work with via email and telephone, and was very accomodating in finding a good time to pick up the cakes. When I did the staff shared lots of great tips for storage and preparation; it’s clear the people here are passionate about what they do and are excited for their customers to enjoy their finished products. As for the cakes themselves, our guests raved about every flavor we had available, including lemon, chocolate, vanilla, and marble. At the end of our wedding there was even a friendly debate about who would get to take home the leftovers! I will definitely rely on Phoenix Bakery for future large event needs as well as my own sweet tooth indulgences.

I absolutely forgot to place my cupcake order for my wedding until the week before the big show! Went to Phoenix Bakery and met with Judi who was more than happy to tack on my order to her already busy schedule! The cupcakes were scrumptious! I'm so glad I have some leftover for me to enjoy when I'm not in the spotlight and trying to look pretty while my husband shoved a cupcake in my mouth! Any flavor and icing combination you want, Judi will make it happen! We even had adorable little navy blue and yellow hearts to signify the bride and groom cupcakes for us in the flavors we wanted!

The Phoenix Bakery is FANTASTIC. Everything I have tasted in the bakery has been delicious. I needed just a small cake as a cutting cake for my wedding reception and I could not have been more pleased with the one that Phoenix made for me. Jodi was so good about helping me "design" it (I am at a loss when it comes to that) and what she came up with was perfect. In addition, she showed great enthusiasm for my vision and was forthcoming with anything that she thought might not work. The price was reasonable, any communication with Jodi was fast and efficient, the cake was perfect and it made my day that much better!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Phoenix Bakery. My husband and I stumbled in one day as we were walking around downtown Pittsboro and some of the best cookies and cupcakes I have ever had! Their ingredients are fresh and local, and you can taste the difference in their baked goods as compared to many other bakeries I have been to. And I have been to A LOT. We decided to order our wedding cake from them and came in a month (or maybe even less, which is I don't recommend, but we lucked out) before our wedding. The cake we ate on our wedding day was beautiful AND delicious, which I find rarely happens with wedding cakes. We had a carrot cake/cream cheese layer, a yellow cake/buttercream layer, and a chocolate/chocolate mousse layer. It was AWESOME. I am a cake FREAK, so I would never write a good review for mediocre cake. Oh also, they have amazing scones, and this heaven-in-your-mouth maple sugar pumpkin cream pastry that is the best thing I have ever tasted.

Phoenix made our delicious wedding cakes. We did an un-stacked style and the cake flavors we chose were a huge hit (almond pound cake with vanilla creme and lemon cake with raspberry vanilla creme). So many people complimented the cake! What they called a "serving" was very generous, so even though lots of people had more than one piece we still had some leftover. They don't have a ton of flavor options, but everything they make is really good so you can't go wrong.

I had heard about Phoenix Bakery from a patient of mine. My husband and I took a drive down from Raleigh to see what it was all about. We talked to the owner directly, where she told us all of her ingredients are whole, organic, dye free. We decided on a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting because it is my husband's favorite. It was delicious! And she decorated it beautifully. I wanted something clean and simple and she did not disappoint. Highly, highly recommend!

Phoenix Bakery did the cake and cupcakes for our Wedding. We got such great feedback from our guests even weeks after the wedding. Everyone loved the flavors.
