Our wedding at the Oakley was a dream. Angela and her team were incredible to work with throughout the entire process. We felt like part of the Oakley family, not just another customer thanks to the warm and genuine communication we experienced throughout. The entire venue is easily accessible for those who need it (no stairs, paved walkways, etc.) and all the little details the team put into building the Oakley shine. We cannot recommend them enough!

One of the first things that drew us to The Oakley was the layout—the cozy and elegant feel, the accessibility of the venue, the lighting inside and outside, and the STUNNING groom and bridal suites. My husband and I were glad the groom got treated with a nifty and comfortable space. Our families and friends had such fantastic things to say about the venue on our wedding day. Our family and friends with babies greatly appreciated the family room to be able to step away as needed to privately feed their little kiddos! On the day of our wedding, we moved our ceremony inside due to a thunderstorm and it was still so perfect. We had worship songs in our ceremony, and the voices resounded beautifully in the space while the songs were sung. The design of the room made that moment all the more perfect!
Angela was always so quick to respond with our questions and paused throughout meetings to let us ask questions as they arose. She helped us ensure that all of our vendors were set up to successfully participate in our wedding day. She was flexible and gracious with us during the planning process as plans evolved. My husband and I felt so supported and encouraged by Angela throughout the whole time we were working with The Oakley, right from our very first time stepping on the property to tour!

What can I say? I toured 19 wedding venues from Atlanta to Asheville and none of them had what I wanted, which was a space that was as beautiful outside as it was inside with a seamless flow between the two. The Oakley on the Lake was our perfect wedding venue, a place that I dreamed up in my head and had given up looking for until I found the renderings of this magical place that didn't exist yet. I contacted Angela, who owns the venue, and toured the site while it was under construction. Though there were no walls yet, or electricity, or running water, I could tell that my vision was in line with Angela's and I trusted that it would be spectacular. It did not disappoint! From the gorgeous souring ceilings to the huge steel frame windows, it turned out perfectly. We used the pavilion as our ceremony space and it was spacious enough for almost 200 guests to sit comfortably with a view of the woods and the shimmering lake behind us. We used every inch of the outdoor space. We had beer pong, corn hole, a cocktail truck, a raw bar, a portrait lounge, and half of our tables all outside, which stays pristine because it's all turf and no grass or mud. The bridal suite is beautiful, with a wall of mirrors for getting hair and makeup done and a large bench swing outside for the bridesmaids to hang out and take photos. They didn't skimp on groom suite either. It has a beautiful leather couch and a pool table and is a great space for the groomsmen to get ready.

Angela and her family are incredible and took such great care of us from the very beginning. When I mentioned that I was trying to source a canoe to fill with beer and seltzers, Angela told me that she had a canoe at her house that we could use! Her husband fixed it up and painted it and made it exactly like the pictures I had saved. It turned out beautiful! I asked Angela if we could pay to add more string lights to light up more of the space on the day of our wedding, and instead, she took care of it for us and expanded their lighting set up. She was allows attentive and responsive and nothing but lovely, as was her husband, daughter, and son. She even surprised me at the end of our reception by bringing her son's dog Tito in, who my husband and I adore, to say hi at the end of the night! I have nothing but good things to say and I am already trying to think of good excuses to go back to The Oakley just to visit because we already miss it. I cannot say thank you enough to Angela and her whole family, you guys are the best!

Our son wedding was held May 4, 2024, and it was amazing. The venue is beautiful. Angela and her team were wonderful to work with. The venue has everything you need for your wedding and reception. The bride/bridesmaids' room is beautiful and perfect for the girls to get ready. They also have a groomsmen room is also very nice and have plenty of games to keep the guys occupied. The outdoor pavilion for the ceremony and reception hall are incredible. You will not be disappointed if you have your wedding here. Thank you, Angela, for an amazing experience!!

The Oakley team and staff are amazing!! I would highly recommend them for any event whether it is a wedding or birthday party. We were the first wedding and the only small issue we bumped into was the lighting during the reception, and they were able to fix it quickly. The grounds are beautiful and Angela and her team worked hard to get everything done on time! They made my day very special with personal gifts and snacks for the groom and bridal suite. Thank you to everyone that made my day great at The Oakley!

Fantastic venue I'we seen developing since the ground up. Incredibly wonderful woman owned venue which will no doubt be the premier venue in the area. As a floral and event designer, I can say that this venue will become one of the most sophisticated and looked after venues in the area.

Had no doubts about booking The Oakley even with it still being in the construction phase. Angela has been so helpful every step of the way! She answers allll our questions (so quickly too!), has an amazing and extensive vendor list, and I just know the venue will be gorgeous. We can't wait to get married here!
