2400 on the River is a rustic yet elegant wedding venue located near Calhoun, Georgia. Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and on the banks of the Coosawattee River, this quiet oasis brings together nature and one-of-a-kind architecture to create a magical experience that can be customized to your preferences. Situated in Northwest Georgia's Historic High Country and just north of Atlanta, within the sweeping panorama of the north Georgia foothills, 2400 on the River provides a splendid backdrop for a beautiful and memorable wedding weekend.

Facilities and Capacity

2400 on the River offers both indoor and outdoor venue options to host your ceremony and reception. Exchange vows under the gazebo overlooking the water or enjoy a fireside ceremony on the riverfront pavilion. Celebrate with cocktails in your choice of locations, including the boxwood gardens. Serve dinner to your guests in the main lodge, followed by a night of dancing on the riverfront pavilion, which offers breathtaking sunset vistas and overlooks the Coosawattee River and a waterfall. They also offer a private suite that you and your wedding party can use to get ready, pamper and relax before the day's festivities begin. The venue can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests.

Services Offered

This venue offers many wedding-related services for a stress-free experience. They allow you to hire your choice of outside vendors so that you can customize your wedding day the way you have always envisioned it. They provide 15 tables which include one custom farm table and 150 ceremony chairs for your event, as well as additional chairs and farm tables available for rent. They also provide a Rolls Royce with a driver for use on the property, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a catering kitchen for staging, and an on-site event manager to receive deliveries and manage the facility. Fantastic venue and wonderful to work with!

We loved our wedding at 2400 on the River! You definitely won’t be able to find anywhere else with this many different and unique scenery options. They have a greenhouse bridal suite, Greek pillars, English garden, water features (waterfall, fountains, small ponds, and of course the river), and even a rope bridge that leads to a brick pizza oven. Our pictures turned out fantastic! We were originally scheduled to have our wedding on 10/10/2020, but they allowed us to reschedule due to COVID to 10/10/2021 with no penalties. Their staff was great and very easy to work with. We had very little issues when scheduling vendor meetings at the venue.

Best Wedding Venue a Couple Can Dream Of!

There is no better place to get married than at 2400 On the River Venue! It was absolutely breathtaking from the moment we stepped onto the beautiful property to leaving it after our wedding reception. There are so many unique aspects of the venue that makes it feel like such a romantic, magical, and special place. And there are so many beautiful themes that can be photographed to match the style and desires of the wedding couple. But what made our wedding planning process and the actual wedding day a dream was Mrs. Vickie and her team. They made sure to answer every question and fulfill every request with so much kindness, excellence and professionalism. Their attention to all our needs and details really made us feel heard and seen as a bride and groom. They offer so many amazing services that go above and beyond what we expected. It was truly one of the best days of our lives and we own it all to the owner, the wonderful staff and the gorgeous wedding venue. There are no words to fully express the extraordinary experience of the 2400 On the River Venue- it’s definitely something that needs to be experienced first hand! We will no doubt hold our amazing memories made here for a lifetime!

Perfect Wedding Venue

I would give a million stars to this venue if I could. I fell in love with it just by the pictures and it was even more beautiful in person. There is a perfection to this venue that is truly hard to describe until you are there and feel like you are transported to another world. The venue has multiple locations that are stunning and perfect for any size ceremony. The river pavilion was something out of a movie overlooking a waterfall and river. The indoor area had plenty of space for our guests. Vicky is an incredible person who made every step of the way so easy. Her kindness and willingness to work with us made the process so fun for us. She was attentive to every detail and request that we had on the day of and made sure that everything was in place for us.

Mother of Bride

I cannot say enough about 2400 on the river. The facility is literally Beautiful and the most unique venue I have seen. My daughter was married there in July and the guests were absolutely stunned. My mother said it best when she said “it’s like Disney magic”she said the lodge is like Gaston’s tavern,the pavilion overlooking the river reminded her of Pocahontas, the bridal suite reminds her of Cinderella‘s carriage, the lake reminded her of little mermaid kiss the girl, and Greek area in hill was Hercules. Needless to say, the amount of options you have for your ceremony and reception is endless. There is ample room to spread out. The grounds are kept lush and beautiful,just an absolute gym located in North Georgia. The staff go above and beyond to help you with any questions and concerns you may have.Stephanie was an absolute pleasure from the first day we met. She so friendly and helpful and gave us wonderful suggestions. When we had to postpone the wedding due to Covid and she was amazing helped us find another date that worked with all our vendors in a flash, made a stressful situation a piece of cake. Vicky and her crew just brought the hustle with a smile helping me navigate where to place tables during set up to the day of the wedding when she was literally the MVP!! I just cannot say enough about this amazing staff the owner has in place, they are as fabulous as the venue! Thank you so much,you made our daughters day the best of her life and we love you for it !

Most beautiful and unique venue out there

Cannot stress how gorgeous this venue is. To s of space to chose from...outdoor by a pond, open air pavilion with crystal chandelier, inside lodge like none you have seen before. Day if help with Vickie was amazing.

Gorgeous Venue!!

2400 On The River is truly a breathtaking and picturesque venue! My daughter & son-in-law fell in love the first visit, and their November wedding day was a fairytale!! Joel, Stephanie and Vicky were so accommodating, professional and a delight to work with to make sure our special day was smooth and memorable. They allowed us to bring in our own venders, and worked along side them great. Our guest were blown away at the beauty & uniqueness of 2400 On The River. Highly recommend this venue for the perfect wedding experience.

Amazing Venue, Amazing Service

My niece and her new husband held their wedding ceremony and reception at 2400 on the River on September 8. It was magical. They chose the venue for its natural beauty and the amazing lodge, pavilion and lakeside gazebo the owner has built on the land. It is hard to say more about the unique rustic beauty than what has already been said in so many well-deserved reviews. This is obvious in the pictures you see but is even more breathtaking when you arrive on the property.

I have been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years, most of it as a professional event planner. I have worked in venues across the country. What stands out the most to me at 2400 on the River is the owner, management and staff. Never have I had a more positive experience. Stephanie, the venue manager was always gracious and flexible with our needs, even when we had to change the wedding date. Joel the owner made sure the grounds were groomed and all our logistical needs were met and Vickie and her crew who were on site for setup, clean up and assistance with everything in between, were absolutely amazing. I could not have asked for a better experience and, more importantly, my dear kids had the wedding of their dreams thanks to this amazing team.

Beautiful Venue and No Price Gouging!

Stephanie was an absolute wonder to work with. She worked with my schedules and let me bring in my own vendors which is unheard of. As for the venue, I cannot describe how beautiful it is and I feel the pictures don't even do it justice. My entire wedding night people kept asking me how I found this place! The feeling is absolutely magical. On top of everything they provided some items for us to use on our big day and a parking attendant. If I were to do this all over I would definitely pick this venue time and again.
Unfortunately, I haven't gotten my pictures back yet but I will try to attach them once I get them back!

Magical wedding venue!

2400 On the River surpassed all of our expectations, creating a truly idyllic setting for our son and daughter-in-law's wedding. When they found this beautiful and unique oasis, they knew it would capture the vision they had for their special day. From the English-style gardens to the scenic pond and fountain to the rustic elegance of the "barn" to the peaceful river and waterfall next to the covered pavilion--2400 offers an unforgettable setting for any special occasion. Wedding guests were in awe over the myriad architectural features and the pastoral beauty of the grounds. The main building feels like part Bavarian countryside and part English manor--with a touch of Middle Earth ambiance. The owner, Joel, is an incredible hands-on and personable host, who is committed to providing the greatest possible experience. From start to finish, Stephanie assisted with all the necessary logistical planning, and was extremely flexible and accommodating and patient. They ensured that the wedding experience was second to none and were amazing to work with throughout the entire process. The bride and the groom and everyone at the wedding truly had a magical experience that they will never forget!

Best venue (& staff! ) ever!

2400 On The River hosted our event in April 2019 and I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this wonderful venue and their staff. First of all, the venue is STUNNING. It has several gorgeous picture spots, an amazing waterfall, some really cool pieces form around the world, etc. It's literally perfect for every couple with any style! Second, Stephanie worked with us from the very beginning and is the most professional (and sweetest!) human on the planet. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Whenever I needed anything throughout the planning process or on the day(s) of the event - she was there responding and helping immediately. If I could give 2400 On The River 10 stars - I would!!!!!!!
