The Margaretville Barn at Margaretville Mountain Inn is a rustic wedding venue located in Margaretville, New York. The Margaretville Mountain Inn was built in 1886. It sits atop the Margaretville Mountain on 20 acres of farmland overlooking the Catskill Mountains.

Facilities and Capacity
The venue can accommodate up to 125 guests. It has three event spaces across indoor and covered and uncovered outdoor settings. Wedding ceremonies can be hosted on the sprawling pasture with a wooden arbor or in the forest with a laid fieldstone foundation as the altar. The verandah is suited for a small wedding ceremony with the Catskill Mountains as a beautiful backdrop. The Margaretville Mountain Inn has an 80-foot wrap around porch which can be used to host other events like dinners, barbecue pig roasts, cocktails, and Sunday brunches.

My wedding was a dream come true in part due to Carol. She is professional, easy to communicate with, timely, and so accommodating. I would highly recommend having a wedding in the Catkill Mountains at The Margaretville Barn. Beautiful backdrop and vintage accommodations. Truly picturesque.

We had our wedding here in 2016 and the staff was great. They went above and beyond for us and even gave us an extra bonus fire for free! Carol was always there to answer a question and if she wasn't, her staff was right there too. We had breakfast each morning which was excellent and our day was made to be very special, highly recommend this place if you want an intimate and affordable barn wedding in the catskills.

We had a great experience here for our wedding last June. The owner was very flexible with vendors and services. We were able to save by doing the planning outsrlvrs and having the owner as a day coordinator. The venue is gorgeous. If you want a diy venue that is not typical make a visit and speak with Carol.

We had our wedding here in Sept 2017. It's a DIY venue which is rustic and quaint. The owner Carol is responsive, helpful and fun to hang out with. The staff is friendly, breakfast at the inn is simple (eggs/bacon/ pancakes) but good and they have delicious home-made coffee cakes. Carol knows a lot of the local vendors and offers a lot of suggestions. If you are looking for a reasonably priced ceremony in the Catskills this is the place for you.

If you really love that quaint, country feeling of a small wedding then this is the place for you! it's a more "do it yourself" kind of place but that just meant we were able to put our own personal touch on everything. They do bonfires and are willing to work with you on special needs you might have. Nice place to get married.

If you are looking for a venue with amazing views of our mountains, look no further than The Margaretville Barn! We have been fortunate enough to shoot a number of weddings there and it has always been a pleasure. The grounds are fabulous and The Barn is large enough to accommodate many guests, but feels intimate enough so that you can share your celebration with everyone and not miss out on anything!
