One of Los Angeles's most prized possessions, The MacArthur is a truly special and one-of-a-kind venue. The MacArthur can provide the perfect backdrop for any size function. With stunning architecture and elaborate Art-deco details, The MacArthur serves as the ideal backdrop for weddings, large galas, and corporate events. With multiple spaces The MacArthur can accommodate an intimate gathering as well as extravagant affairs.
Over the years, The MacArthur has played host to the Hollywood elite and has been used in a variety of motion pictures, television series and commercials. The MacArthur was built in 1925 by the Elks to be used as lodge number 99. The building, done in the Neo-Gothic style, was created by renowned art deco architect Claud Beelman. The City of Los Angeles thought the architecture significantly important enough to warrant it a Historic-Cultural Monument, No. 267. This is significant in that many other Wilshire Boulevard area landmarks have fallen prey to the wrecking ball over the years. Luckily, despite the demolition of important landmarks all around it, the grand entrance and ballrooms of the Elk's No. 99 / The MacArthur building still bears its old "jazz age" grandeur.
