Facilities and Capacity
The Line offers stunning ballroom spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lady Bird Lake, all while being in the comfort of the indoors allowing you not to stress about a weather back up plan. All of our event spaces feature natural light throughout. Onyx Ballroom can accommodate 325 guests seated with room for a dance floor and stage for entertainment. Topaz Ballroom is ideal for Cocktail Hour, as the glass dors in this space can accordion open to create on large area. The Studio spaces on the second floor are available to use as hospitality rooms, getting ready spaces, or vendor green rooms. The residential soft style seating can also be used in your cocktail hour and reception spaces as well. These versatile spaces can accommodate the flow of events for almost any wedding style.

The LINE offers personal event planning assistance and premier catering for all events. You'll work one-on-one with the event and culinary staff to prepare the details of your wedding, create a signature menu, and have the staff execute your wedding so you can enjoy stress-free on the big day.
Cuisine
The culinary program at The LINE is rooted in the ingredients and techniques of Texas while reflecting the diverse global experience of our chefs. While we don’t allow outside catering with the exception of your wedding cake, The LINE features a scratch kitchen allowing for fully customizable menus and we’ll work with you to create the perfect menu for your big day.
Accommodations
The LINE has over 400 guest rooms, which can be reserved in blocks for your wedding party. All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, free WiFi, and custom artwork by talented Austin artists. Bookings include access to the fitness center. Pets are also welcome in the hotel for free.

A Perfect Day Thanks to The LINE and Becky!
The venue included all the linens, chairs, and silverware, which were beautiful and fit the natural, elegant aesthetic we were going for. Our guests loved staying at the hotel — the room block was seamless, and the location made it so easy for everyone to explore downtown and attend our wedding events.
From the moment we signed our contract, Becky, our venue coordinator, was incredible. She was accommodating, organized, and so easy to work with. She invited us to visit the ballroom multiple times to see other weddings being set up, and she connected us with several amazing vendors. One of the things we appreciated most was how attentive she was to our food allergies. Both my mom (MOB) and I have severe allergies, and Becky went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious — our guests are still raving about it — and the chef even created a custom potato bar that perfectly reflected what we had envisioned.
No matter what our request was, Becky made it happen. She responded quickly to every email, anticipated details before we even thought of them, and made the day truly seamless. Our wedding would not have been the same without her! We can’t recommend The LINE and Becky enough — it was the most magical, stress-free, and memorable experience we could have imagined.

BUYER BEWARE (Hidden Fees & Inflexibility)
Not up front on pricing:
At the outset, The Line Hotel did display a lack of transparency regarding pricing, which was disappointing. They initially provided a quote that seemed reasonable but surprised us with hidden fees and additional charges later on. This was frustrating, particularly when planning such an emotional event.
Accusation of outside alcohol consumed:
During the event, we faced an unwarranted accusation of outside alcohol consumption, despite there being no such violation. The hotel also gifted us a bottle of champagne as a gesture of goodwill, only to later charge us for it. This left a sour taste in our mouths, but after numerous emails and a video call with the wedding Director, Stephanie Seladain, they did eventually refund us for the champagne.
A lack of flexibility:
We expected The Line Hotel to be more flexible and accommodating when unexpected issues arose, but unfortunately, they proved to be rigid. This left us feeling somewhat unsupported and frustrated.
Disappearance of vendor meals on their property:
One of the most frustrating incidents was the unexplained disappearance of vendor meals on the hotel's property. This inconvenience not only affected our suppliers but also cast a shadow on our wedding day. It took countless emails and a video call with Stephanie Seladain, the wedding Director, but they eventually refunded us for the vendor meals.
Continued issues after the hotel's apology:
Following the hotel's apology for the champagne incident, we continued to experience "after-the-fact" issues that should have been resolved beforehand. This added stress and frustration to what should have been a joyous occasion.
In summary, my experience with The Line Hotel for my wedding had its positive aspects, but was marred by certain disappointments. Their initial lack of pricing transparency, unwarranted accusations, and inflexibility were less than ideal. However, it's worth noting that, after communication with the wedding Director, some of these issues were eventually resolved. I hope this review helps future customers weigh the pros and cons when considering this venue for their special events.
