The LINE offers both stunning indoor and outdoor space for your wedding. The hotel sits on Town Lake's edge, reflecting color and energy from the downtown Austin city lights. The LINE property has over 20,000 square feet of event space for you to host your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Meticulously manicured lawns and natural green space are available for intimate ceremonies and light cocktail hour socialization. Inside, the Onyx Ballroom offers luxury and elegance for a reception celebration. The ballroom gives access to both a screening room and a display kitchen. A junior ballroom is also available for pre-wedding or reception use. These versatile spaces can accommodate the flow of events for almost any wedding style.

Perfect wedding venue!
BUYER BEWARE (Hidden Fees & Inflexibility)
Not up front on pricing:
At the outset, The Line Hotel did display a lack of transparency regarding pricing, which was disappointing. They initially provided a quote that seemed reasonable but surprised us with hidden fees and additional charges later on. This was frustrating, particularly when planning such an emotional event.
Accusation of outside alcohol consumed:
During the event, we faced an unwarranted accusation of outside alcohol consumption, despite there being no such violation. The hotel also gifted us a bottle of champagne as a gesture of goodwill, only to later charge us for it. This left a sour taste in our mouths, but after numerous emails and a video call with the wedding Director, Stephanie Seladain, they did eventually refund us for the champagne.
A lack of flexibility:
We expected The Line Hotel to be more flexible and accommodating when unexpected issues arose, but unfortunately, they proved to be rigid. This left us feeling somewhat unsupported and frustrated.
Disappearance of vendor meals on their property:
One of the most frustrating incidents was the unexplained disappearance of vendor meals on the hotel's property. This inconvenience not only affected our suppliers but also cast a shadow on our wedding day. It took countless emails and a video call with Stephanie Seladain, the wedding Director, but they eventually refunded us for the vendor meals.
Continued issues after the hotel's apology:
Following the hotel's apology for the champagne incident, we continued to experience "after-the-fact" issues that should have been resolved beforehand. This added stress and frustration to what should have been a joyous occasion.
In summary, my experience with The Line Hotel for my wedding had its positive aspects, but was marred by certain disappointments. Their initial lack of pricing transparency, unwarranted accusations, and inflexibility were less than ideal. However, it's worth noting that, after communication with the wedding Director, some of these issues were eventually resolved. I hope this review helps future customers weigh the pros and cons when considering this venue for their special events.
