The Legacy Golf Club is a golf club wedding venue located in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. Located just 10 minutes from Toledo, the golf club offers a picturesque setting to host your wedding day! Our grounds crew takes immaculate care of the course. That allows your photographer to get show-stopping photos for you with the beautiful scenery in the background. The view doesn't stop when you come inside to our ballroom. The ballroom has floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the golf course. The natural scenery adds character to the venue you cannot find in a traditional banquet hall. We have a team of uniformed staff that take care of all the large and small details on the day of the wedding. We make your wedding day vision come to life without you having to lift a finger the day of your wedding!

Facilities and Capacity

The Legacy Golf Club can host up to 400 guests in its outdoor event space, while the indoor reception area can host up to 200 guests. Wedding ceremonies can be held in the venue's chapel. The dining room features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the 18th-hole pond and green. The room has a timber-frame design and an open ceiling with chandeliers.

So great to work with!

Monica & The Legacy were amazing to work with! They were accommodating and went above and beyond to help us have the day that we were dreaming of! Monica was readily available whenever we had any questions, and so easy to communicate with.

Naturally gorgeous outdoor venue

Monica and the Legacy was amazing to work with. We booked in August 2020 and got married in Sept 2021. Monica was always transparent and very good with communicating the latest restrictions and options. Fortunately we were able to have a normal wedding and also used the outdoor tent for our reception which had tons of space. The chapel is gorgeous by itself and bridal room is a great place to get ready. The food was fantastic and the pricing is very fair. Highly recommend this for anyone who wants a laid back outdoor venue!

Excellent Venue and Absolutely Beautiful!

Monica was wonderful and accommodating. The scenery was breathtaking and the person that directed us to the most beautiful spots for pictures was very nice.

Great Venue

The Legacy was wonderful to work with. The food was great, with lots of options. They staff was friendly and professional. The space fit our needs, and looked wonderful. Having a bridal suite to get ready in was ideal and worked perfectly for the bridesmaids and I. While it rained, we were able to get out on the golf course to take some pictures outside with the leaves changing colors. When we came back the next day to get our items, everything was nicely boxed up in the bridal suite waiting for us. They set everything up and cleaned it up for us. This venue included food, linens, DJ, and bar.

A vendor who takes care of it all

(Been having problems uploading this review with photos!)

The Legacy were excellent from start to finish because of their wonderful planner Monica. We were having an off season wedding in February for just 11 guests and we had tried many places who out prices us with ridiculous minimum spend quotations. The Legacy were flexible being off season and put together just the right package as we were able to not only have them handle the catering but they also took care of the chair covers, linens and table decor. We hired a beautiful backdrop to marry in front of and after also struggling for an affordable cake the Legacy also took care of that too. The day ran smoothly and looked beautiful and my worry about us filling the space was unjustified as it looked perfect for our intimate vows with our families from the UK and US. The attention to detail they really take pride in and the venue really is stunning. In Summer I imagine even more so.

The Legacy made our dream come true!

Our wedding was everything I asked for and more! Everything was perfect down to the last detail. I would probably choose a different DJ or atleast make certain he did things the exact way I wanted them beforehand. He kind of did his own thing and I felt like the way he wanted to do things was more important to him than how we actually wanted things, but also I don't think many people noticed. I think it was more so just me and family that knew the way we wanted it, and noticed when it was off. Monica is absolutely amazing! Anything and everything you want she will make sure it happens. She also is honest and makes sure to play out everything that you have ideas for so you know how it will go and you can see the positives and negatives with every situation. She is so good at her job and truly cares about the bride and grooms happiness! The wait staff was also all very professional and great at what they do!

The staff was so accommodating!! They did everything to make sure that the wedding went smoothly. Outdoor ceremony was gorgeous and the food was very good. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The Legacy made wedding planning super easy with the many packages they offer along with the help of Dawn. From the moment we decided to have our wedding at The Legacy, it was very easy to work with Dawn and she would answer any questions I might have. The golf course is beautiful and a great back drop for pictures and a great place for an outdoor ceremony. Our guests really enjoyed the ceremony and reception being in the same place and thought the location and food were all great. There were many people at The Legacy on the day of my wedding who were there to help with every aspect to make sure it went perfectly. Everything went as smoothly as possible and I couldn't imagine my wedding day going any better than it did thanks to all the staff.

We got married here on 9-9-17 and we wouldn't have changed a thing. Dawn was a HUGE help throughout the process and had great suggestions along the way. I had quite a few signs & decorations (some of which ended up being more difficult to put up than we thought) and the employees at the Legacy did all the set up (perfectly) for us so we could relax on our big day. Believe me...that is a HUGE relief the day of! Dawn even took pictures and showed me how the reception decorations were coming along. They kept the whole day moving along on time and made it so we had nothing to worry about. Seriously can't say enough about these guys! Just super, super organized & accommodating!

The Legacy Golf Club is a beautiful venue to hold both your wedding and reception. They have a lovely outdoor chapel overlooking a pond and the golf course. The interior of the venue is beautiful with open wood beams and a great view. The staff are very professional and great to work with.
