About

The Kester Homestead is a historic farm venue located on the cusp of Finger Lakes Region in Upstate NY. Enjoy access to the entire property for the duration of your gathering weekend. Stay in the 1854 House (sleeps 12-14), wander the trails to our Woodland Cathedral for ceremony, then dine and dance in our Wild Garden and Gambrel Barn.

You and your partner can begin by swapping your vows and becoming one forever in the woodlands, surrounded by your loved ones, before moving to the perfectly manicured Wild Garden for cocktail hour. With a farm-to-table feast before you, guests can dine and dance the night away on antique rugs before cozying up together in front of a late-night crackling bonfire.

The Kester Homestead offers several wedding day packages depending on the size and scale of the celebration. Each includes the Right Hand Coordination Package, which means the on-site team will help you through the planning process and offer expert guidance on the wedding day. The staff at The Kester Homestead will also provide you with a list of preferred catering partners who will create a menu that your guests will never forget.

Wedding Venue and Team of our Dreams!!!

The venue alone is magical untouched, and became something out of this world on the day of our wedding. With The Full Service Vision Planning package, the Kester team connected to join us in our vision and provided a level of extraordinary personalization with attention to detail and thoughtful touches that we couldn’t have dreamed up. From their team presence and warmth, exquisite vision, design and flower service, vendor recommendations, and overall availability for support and guidance, they made the entire process seamless and enabled us to soak in every moment. Photographer for Intimate Wedding at The Kester Homestead

I photographed a tiny, micro-wedding at the Kester Homestead back in June of 2020 and immediately fell in love. The space is expansive but inviting, and so rich with detail that you can quickly get lost in all of the charm. The cherry on top of this incredible space is the hostess, Mackenzie, who makes you feel so welcome and so cared for. Mackenzie and her husband are literally opening their front door for you and welcoming you into their home, which I think is pretty amazing. Between the scenery, the charm, and the hospitality, I am absolutely obsessed with this space for a cozy and intimate backyard-style wedding or elopement.

Perfect wedding weekend

Kester Homestead is a DREAM! This venue is absolutely incredible not only for weddings but also for just relaxing and spending a weekend. We had our small wedding ceremony at Kester Homestead and had the best time. Our families absolutely loved the scenery and were so amazed by all the different spaces to hang out. Mackenzie, the owner, is incredibly sweet, stylish (her design is ON POINT), and helpful! She made us some really beautiful flower arrangements that we are currently drying out to keep! We loved working with her and cannot wait to celebrate with them again next year at our larger ceremony.

Beautiful COVID Elopement!

When our original wedding venue cancelled on us because of COVID-19, we had to look elsewhere for a new venue. We are so glad we did! The Kester Homestead was a dream - every detail of our wedding was beyond beautiful and sweet. Mackenzie was very kind and thoughtful in working with us to plan the wedding and she did an amazing job setting things up. Our families also really enjoyed staying at the house together before the wedding. Thank you again for hosting us, Mackenzie. We feel so so blessed to be able to have our wedding at your place.
