I couldn't ask for a better experience. I was very picky about what I wanted and David, the owner, was able to listen to my various ideas and give me the perfect ring while being completely honest. We gave him our budget and he brought in various stones so that I could see what my options were. This included smaller but beautiful stones, and larger but flawed diamonds. I wanted an ornate basket, he advised that it wouldn't look right with the diamond we chose. I wanted diamonds on a thin band and he advised not going all the way around the band because I would be back every couple of months for repairs on the prongs and chipped stones. He pulled various settings, band widths, and designs and creating a ring from scratch. It took about a month and a half to get the complete product, mostly because my fiance and I could only go into the store on weekends due to our schedule. B/c we live in DC, there were no taxes charged. I still catch myself staring at the ring sometimes. We will definitely be going back in February to have our wedding rings made.

My fiancée and I came across the Jewelry Design Company in doing research for a jewelry store that would be able to make a customized wedding ring for me. I wanted something that would complement my engagement ring in look, size, and style. David was always very patient and a good listener as I described my vision. I dealt with several jewelers along the way and David was one of the most patient and understanding people I’ve met. As a visual person, I drew what I wanted on a piece of paper and David asked questions to make sure he was following along. Even though it took several times before David’s jeweler got the design right, David would call me occasionally to report on the progress. The finished product turned out beautifully and I look forward to using David in the future for any custom jewelry needs.
