We are a Deli located in El Cajon CA, that has been in business since 1963. We have an awesome customer base that have been coming here since their parents and grandparents have been bringing them. We are looking to expand into catering, we have done some private events with a few hundred people and are looking to expand our reach and hopefully bring our sandwiches from our store front to you. The business was started by a man named Pete Digangi, who brought the east coast style of sandwiches with him from Connecticut. Then as Pete got older he passed the restaurant on to Bob and Margaret Helt, who had worked for him for years. Now, Margaret has passed the business on to two of her employees after owning it for over 40 years, their names are Brodey and Tyler and they have been best friends since middle school and have worked at The Grinder for over 5 years. We have used the same tried and true recipes since our doors opened 63 years ago and hope to continue for another 63 years.
