Gerry and the Gerry Rothschild Band are absolutely terrific and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Our wedding was postponed several times and switched venues because of Covid, and at times it seemed like Gerry was the only person holding things together. He was incredibly communicative and organized, and was on top of things from our first meeting in December 2019 all the way through our April 2022 wedding. He even took the time to come out to the venue to check out the set up a few weeks before the event so that there were no surprises.

The band itself was incredible. They learned an eclectic mix of tunes, sounded amazing, and were great fun. So many of our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed the band, and we personally could not agree more. And Gerry is a terrific M.C.

Gerry Rothschild Band is the best choice I have made for my wedding! They played at our wedding with 5-piece band and they were the centerpiece of an amazing night. During the whole planing process, Gerry was very helpful and professional, and I did not have to stress out or to provide lots of directions during the process. The band was very talented , and the music selections they made for my wedding fit perfectly to my wedding style. The band also learned my first dance song within a few weeks prior to my wedding, which made my special day even more memorable. Many of my guests cried and commented " the best music and the most romantic first dance we have ever seen". After we open the dance floor, the band was able to bring the whole crowd to the dance floor til the end. Choosing Gerry and his band was the best decision we could have made for our wedding music, they were the BEST!!!

Coordinating with Gerry was the easiest part of planning our wedding. He was extremely helpful and accommodating to our music needs (songs we like/songs we didn't like/songs he LEARNED at our request!) and even our wedding planner was blown away by his professionalism. The music itself was amazing. The dance floor was packed the entire evening and at least a dozen of our guests commented about how great the music was! Can't recommend Gerry enough!

When my (now) husband and I decided to get married on New Year's Eve, we knew that the music would be a crucial part of making the evening a party to remember. Thanks to the amazing quality, energy and flexibility of The Gerry Rothschild Band (8-piece), the night was touted as the "BEST NYE EVER!" Leading up to the wedding, Gerry was attentive and thoughtful, making me feel more comfortable with every meeting and email- I knew we were in good hands. The night of, we were running behind schedule, but Gerry, the consummate professional, worked behind the scenes, went with the flow and guests were none the wiser. We danced, we jumped, we sang, we sweat and we said hello to 2019 with the Gerry Rothschild Band leading the charge! Would recommend them over and over again!

Hiring Gerry and his band was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process - take a listen and call him now, you won't be disappointed.

Searching for wedding bands is really the worst, and I felt after weeks of looking I'd just found the same grating sounds, without much sense of what would really work live. Fortunately a friend who has worked with Gerry for family weddings for years told us to check him out, and we are glad we did! His videos do a good job demonstrating their sound and the breadth of their repetoire, but they can only do so much; trust me when I say that the live band really pulls it off - they sound great.

Gerry was also awesome to plan with; we were doing a lot of the planning remotely (from Japan), and he worked across time zones to set up Skype calls and coordinate all the details of announcements, music selections, equipment, etc. From our first Skype call he made us feel so at ease that it was an easy choice. And when we had ideas for different songs we did or did NOT like, he was receptive and helpful.

We had Gerry with a six-man group total; they did cocktail hour with some jazz / acoustic numbers, which was quite laid back and sounded really good, and then played a variety of music through dinner and into dancing to follow. They definitely kept the energy flowing throughout the night, and once the dance floor got going they kept people out there! A lot of good nostaltic hits (for our 20s / 30s crowd) and wedding dance-able classics.

If I could do it again (and I wish I could!) I'd work with Gerry all over again - there's nothing like a live band at a wedding, and their energy and talent will not disappoint!

I'm a HUGE music fan, and selecting a band was, of course, a huge decision to make and would be the centerpiece of the evening.

I read reviews, just like this, for many bands. I came across Gerry and his band, and sent him an email after watching some videos and reading a few reviews.

From the first interaction, Gerry was incredibly professional, up-front, honest, and genuine to work with. He asked us many questions we hadn't considered and let us know what we could expect if we hired them. After a few more conversations, we happily decided to go with them.

And it turned out to be the best wedding-related decision we made. Throughout the process, Gerry remained responsive and worked with us to establish timeline, learn some tunes, and really understood the style and type of music and energy we wanted. We worked together on songs and bands we wanted and did not want.

On the day of the wedding, I was obviously busy, but Gerry and co. did their thing and got set up. On to the music. We had Gerry for ~4-5 hours and they were absolutely KILLER! Their youtube videos don't do them justice. We got the six piece band. Each one of them was better than the last. The vocals sounded great, their rhythm was tight, the keyboards, guitar, drums, bass, etc. all had a beautiful, clear sound. They know what they are doing and they play incredible music.

My favorite band is Dispatch.Gerry learned two Dispatch songs; our wedding song (Indian Moon) and our last song (The General). Their renditions of these songs were honestly some of my favorite live renditions I've ever heard.

I can't say enough great things about Gerry and their performance. If you want incredible, live music for your wedding, this is your band. I promise.

I HIGHLY recommend Gerry + his band. They were, honestly, a perfect wedding band from start to finish.

1. At the wedding:

The dance floor was packed the entire night with people of all generations. And honestly, it never felt like there was a down moment or a moment when I wanted to get off the dance floor. Gerry did a great job of reading the room and picking songs that everyone would love. And while everyone was eating, Gerry did a great job of DJing quieter, most jazzy music (which was what we wanted), so everyone could talk.

2. Planning:

Gerry had several different meetings with us — he came to our house to talk about music selection with me, my wife and her parents, he also came to a meeting at the venue so he would be ready on the day of. He also sent us recordings of songs for our first dance, the father-daughter dance, and the mother-son dance, so everyone could prepare in advance. Plus, I wanted to sing a song at the wedding, so I had a practice session with Gerry in advance and he was 100% prepared both at the rehearsal and the day of (he nailed the song, which he had to learn from scratch and write up notation for). Also, Gerry’s band learned several other new songs at our request. ALL of this was included with their standard pricing!

He was happy to meet with us as much as we needed. I really think that a huge part of choosing a vendor should be picking someone who (1) really delivers on the day-of, and (2) makes the planning process as low-stress as possible. And Gerry did that 100%.

3. Price

Because this matters a lot when you’re planning a wedding: given what an extremely high quality product Gerry delivers, his prices were extremely reasonable. His price was one of the most reasonable of any of the bands we researched.

Gerry’s band was such a solid, incredibly fun band. All our friends and family told me how great they were, and we recommend them highly!

My husband and I first met Gerry Rothschild at Industry Hills where he and his band play every Thursday night. We knew that if we ever got married, this would definitely be our band. So when the day came, we were Super excited to sign Gerry. They did not disappoint!! The ceremony music was perfect and they kept the dance floor packed throughout the reception. Our guests were floored! All night we were asked about who the band was and where we found them. We highly recommend The Gerry Rothschild Band to anyone!!
