I meant to write a review before the wedding but forgot, I would have given 5 stars then and now, I wish I could give 100 stars! The first visit to the flyway my fiancé and I looked at each other and both said “we don’t even have to look anywhere else”. I wanted my fairytale wedding I always dreamed about, something timeless, vintage, charming, like stepping into an actual dream. Well guess what! I had the wedding of my dreams all thanks to the wonderful owners of the flyway and their family. The venue is beautiful: the most beautiful carriage house with authentic and original character - brick walls, beautiful blue doors, and so much history!; then you look to your left and you are stunned by the currituck sound, the most beautiful sunset over the water and the most special calming atmosphere; keep turning that way and you see beautiful trees and greenery everywhere - it’s something out of a fairytale! Ok so the venue is just the start, then the owners Michelle and her husband - I don’t know where to start; they are the kindest and most selfless people. She is so down to earth, with a beautiful heart, from the first visit I knew she truly cares about every single couple she meets. I felt like family by the end of my wedding weekend. Just coming into the property and seeing a beautiful lane with trees arching over it gives you the chills - then to find out that they plant a tree in memory for every couple that gets married there! (warms your heart). Michelle went above and beyond to accommodate me the whole weekend, answering any question I had that weekend plus the two years we were engaged! (I booked this 2 years ago about a month after we got engaged). I could probably write a novel about how happy we are to have been blessed with such great people and the most perfect venue. The bridal suite is perfect; the carriage house upstairs has every single thing you need for decor - my arbor, rustic side tables, cocktail lounge, sweetheart table, signs, lights, baskets, crates - all there for my use (I could keep going!). Michelle and her family are the definition of customer service and selflessness! It is a privilege to be able to say I am a flyway bride. The number one thing I heard from everyone this past weekend was how amazing the venue was, my guests could not get over the views. If you’re reading this review and deciding on whether to go visit, stop trying to decide and just go, promise you will feel as special as we do!

I absolutely fell in love with this venue when visiting and it turned out to be the most perfect place for my wedding! There are SO many beautiful picturesque locations on the property! The water, barn, and greenery were breathtaking. Michelle was a breeze to work with! She was super friendly and patiently/ thoroughly answered my millions of questions. They have a ton of decor etc that we were able to use. Michelle gave me lots of advice and suggestions throughout the planning process. They even held fun dance classes leading up to our big day. Her and her husband were even more helpful the day of the wedding! You can tell they truly care about ensuring our wedding was a success. Highly recommend the Flyway Lodge!

The venue is perfect, Michelle is amazing, I could not have had a better location!
