The Farm is an elegant Europran style barn wedding venue located in Rome, Georgia. This privately-owned estate and wedding destination is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and conveniently located just one hour south of Chattanooga and one hour north of Atlanta. From a beautiful and formal indoor ballroom to a rustic, Tuscany-inspired barn and stables, The Farm offers picturesque and romantic event spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Facilities and Capacity

With 280 acres of rolling hills and lush, green pastures, The Farm is a family-owned farm that features mountain trails, ponds and natural springs. Outdoor weddings can be held in open pastures, in a private gazebo in the woods or in the stable area. Indoor weddings and receptions are held in the beautifully renovated, 40,000-square-foot European-style pine barn lined by old brick arches in the entryway. The Three Timbers Room and adjoining ballroom is located inside the heated and air-conditioned barn that includes a loft area, full catering kitchen, wet bar and restroom area. More intimate celebrations can be held in the Mountain Cabin, Cottage Field or General Store. This venue offers a full prep kitchen for catering with a commercial ice maker and warming drawer.

Accommodation

Couples who wish to have their bridal party or family stay with them before or after their event can choose from several options of on-site accommodations. This location includes seven guest cottages on the property to sleep a total of 33 guests.

The Farm is an ideal location for hosting private parties of varying sizes. In addition to wedding ceremonies and receptions, this location can accommodate all of your wedding events, such as engagement parties, bridal showers and rehearsal dinners. This venue is also available for hosting corporate meetings, holiday parties, birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions.

History

The area surrounding The Farm, Texas Valley, was settled by the ancestors of Herman D. Cooper, a real estate agent that bought and sold farm land. The Coopers eventually built a boarding stable with a hay loft and opened the gates to Zion Farms Equestrienne Center in 1996 that operated until 2008. In 2009 The Bagleys purchased the property and began renovations. In 2010 The Farm was opend for business.
