Theresa was fantastic, helping me find a phenomenal dress (when I didn't even know what I was looking for), and at a fantastic price! Highly recommend the Dressing Room for the laid back bride looking for a unique dress.

Went to The Dressing Room on 8/6, and I would definitely return. I was given free rein to try on as many dresses I liked (there were A LOT) and the kind, helpful women that work there and went out of their way to make me feel like Cinderella while I was trying on wedding dresses. Their pricing is fantastic as well and they have a gorgeous selection of dresses and veils. I’d highly, HIGHLY recommend stopping in here first before anywhere else, I’ll definitely be back in to find a dress for the MOH.

Teresa is a prime example of not all heroes wear capes - she is an angel & a life saver! I went into The Dressing Room for a new wedding dress after a seamstress ruined my dress and told me it wouldn’t be finished in time. I was in a little bit of a panic (as I was just leaving that other seamstress and I had no dress but 1 week until the wedding). Teresa showed me everything she had in stock around my size and helped me get in to the dresses. Luckily, she showed me THE perfect dress but unfortunately it was too small. Teresa ordered the dress in my size and had it express shipped (ordered first thing Monday morning and arrived on Wednesday). She kept me in the loop the whole time. When it arrived on Wednesday, she called me first thing and even scheduled an appointment with her trusted seamstress, Teresa Edens at Alterations by Teresa. I went straight to her seamstress who completed all my alterations perfectly and dropped off the dress to the shop the very next morning. A true blessing in disguise for me but it wouldn’t have happened without Teresa’s help! She truly cares and wants all brides to have their dream dress and will do what it takes to ensure customers leave happy. I would recommend her 100000%!

I was new to Wilmington and after going to 4-5 other bridal shops and being dissatisfied; I was ready to drive back to Atlanta, go to Raleigh or Charlotte. To my surprise they had MY dress!!! They listened to what I wanted and showed me what they had, what could be ordered and etc. I would recommend this place they are professional andCourteous.

Let me first state, I’m a newcomer to Wilmington Nc and coming from Atlanta the shopping is dramatically different,
I went to several bridal shops in Wilmington including David’s Bridal before going to The Dressing Room and I was prepared for a Drive to Raleigh, Charlotte or Atlanta to find my perfect dress. Or quite possibly just settle...
This was my last effort for a dress in Wilmington. I made the appointment for the upcoming Saturday morning and would have a friend go with me. I was greeted by an employee that was finishing u with a customer. She asked me what type of/ style of dress I was I wanted, when I was getting married, and where. Typical questions, she explained the layout of the store asked us to browse around while she pulled a few for me to try on. I’m a size 5/6 and if you’ve ever shopped for a wedding dress - that’s not your size. Feeling bad about size, she assured me that happens everyone. I know I looked at what felt like 100 dresses & tried on at least 15. The LAST 3 she pulled, wasn’t the style I was looking for, but they were pretty. I tried the first one and OMG I liked it & my friend liked it as well. The second one, that was it ... I loved it, the employees loved it, and my friend loved it!! I knew this was MY dress. A customer came in and commented on how gorgeous my dress was ... the owner came in and noted how pretty I looked in the dress and how GREAT the fit was for an off the rack dress! Theresa (owner) has a belt she had just walked in with this set the dress off!!! She told me they had an in-house seamstress that could the minimal alterations. We set that up. I’ve had 3 fitting and 13 days away from my big day. I can’t wait to see my husband look at me as I walk down the aisle in this dress.
Each person here was helpful, courtesy, and professional. My dress is high quality and gorgeous.

Theresa was amazing! Her store is truly a great find if you are looking for affordable dresses of your dreams! I had been around multiple shops in Wilmington and Nashville and wanted to have a dress I looked and felt great in without breaking the bank. Theresa spent time with me trying on multiple dresses and hand picked THE ONE! I absolutely loved my dress and the price was unbelievable. It is difficult to put into words how absolutely amazing Theresa is. I bought my dress from another bridal shoppe in Wilmington, NC. The shoppe does not due their alterations in house, and referred me to Judy's Sewing room. Long story short, Judy RUINED my dress. I needed a plan B. In comes the Dressing Room. Theresa promptly met me and a friend of mine at the store. She showed me options in my price range and was knowledgeable about which dresses that could be shipped quickly to me. Theresa was so kind to me in a very stressful situation. The dressing room had a great selection of dresses at amazing prices. I highly recommend Theresa and her seamstress, also named Theresa.
