The Douglas Beach House is an oceanfront wedding venue located in Half Moon Bay, California. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this truly unique property on Miramar Beach has provided a warm, traditional, intimate and soulful events venue for over 50 years. Whether your wedding is elegant, casual or anything in between, the fabulous views and coastal ambience of The Douglas Beach House will create an unforgettable setting for your upcoming nuptials.
Facilities and Capacity
Just steps from the beach, The Douglas Beach House provides ocean views from their large deck and solarium areas. Rental space includes the concert room with dance floor, stage, prep kitchen and bar, as well as the adjacent solarium area and upper level deck. The north area includes a lounge, kitchen, bar and bonus room and is available for an additional fee. Their intimate banquet hall with cedar paneling and large windows seats up to 120 dinner guests.

Even if the Bach weren't a longtime institution in Half Moon Bay and the coastside, it would be an ideal venue for weddings and events. The beachfront property provides magnificent scenery for photography. Viewed from below or the upper deck of the Bach, the stunning views include romantic sunsets, and even occasional whale watching, a visual treat for attendees, adding that "something special" to an event. The Bach Dynamite and Dancing Society's rich tradition of world renowned jazz has proven a perfect place for live music and entertainment, as well. What is best of all is that everything is in one place- you have the ocean for backdrops, a balcony and tables for guests, a bar, and a stage for speeches, music, etc.
