Hayes Mansion is a great wedding location right in the core of the city of San Jose. The venue provides the flexibility to plan for indoor and/or outdoor which became very important for us as the weather forced us to move the main portion of the wedding indoors. Carley (event manager) and her staff were very responsive when we made the change two days prior to the event when the weather impact became clear.

The venue can accommodate large parties which was an important consideration for us. They were also very proactive in closing out the planning and working with our outside caterer and decorators. The hotel staff were also very friendly and accommodating. One of the front desk staff was really friendly and patient at checkout time.

Because I was very busy during the event, I did not interact closely with the staff handling the breakfast and lunch. The ballroom was set up very well and the staff seemed efficient. However, the staff may need some additional supervision for large parties.

Overall, Hayes Mansion is a fantastic venue in San Jose to consider for medium to large events and weddings.

We really enjoyed our intimate and magnificent wedding celebration at Hayes Mansion. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, which made it really beautiful from start to finish. Our guests were very happy with the service, food and bar provided. The service was overall superb and just ideal for our guests. Everything was smooth and amazing till all the guests left.

As a wedding planning team, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Hayes Mansion across multiple events and service levels, including full planning, partial planning, day-of coordination, and canine coordination. Our experience with Hayes spans weddings, rehearsal dinners and welcome parties, as well as other wedding-related events. Time and time again, the venue has proven to be reliable, flexible, and especially well-suited for Indian and Indian-fusion weddings, which they handle with care and cultural understanding.

We worked closely with Mikaela throughout much of the booking and planning process. While there was a period of internal staffing turnover, the Hayes team handled the transition thoughtfully. Jayson, Assistant Director of Events, stepped in seamlessly, promptly answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping move the event confidently across the finish line. Rebekah has also been an incredible partner. As a Sales Coordinator, she is organized, responsive, and truly supportive both during planning and on the wedding day, which makes a huge difference from a planner’s perspective.

The service and banquet teams at Hayes are experienced, professional, and dependable. They understand how important a strong banquet captain is and consistently execute major service moments smoothly. We are especially grateful for how everything was set up exactly as planned, while still allowing room for real-time, on-site adjustments. The team follows service plans closely but also knows how to pivot when events naturally evolve, handling each moment with care.

Having a hotel on-site is a huge plus. It gives couples a comfortable and convenient place to get ready and creates a seamless experience for guests throughout the wedding weekend. With so many hospitality options available, couples can truly tailor their celebration in a way that feels thoughtful, elevated, and guest-friendly.

Hayes Mansion went above and beyond in their service. The GM Erin and event Manager Victoria ensured it was seamless for us, being available after hours and on weekends. Monica was our wedding venue planner at the Dolce Hayes Mansion. Monica was very thorough, responsive, friendly and professional. The Dolce Hayes Mansion was very accomodating to our needs during the rehearsal as well as on our wedding day. Prices for the venue was very reasonable in comparison to other vendors. I would recommend Dolce to anyone expecting a successful wedding venue from beginning to end.

This was a perfect venue. It had everything you need for the bride and groom and all the guest. It is a one stop shop. They cater to the bride and groom and make them feel like their special day is the most important event, as it should be.

We selected the Dolce Hayes Mansion for our ceremony and reception (the East Lawn and the Patio Room) and our day was all we had hoped for and much, much more!! We were blessed to have Liveth Ramos as our Event Manager and she worked with us (our budget, etc.) and made sure that everything came together just as we had envisioned our wedding. WOW! What a great place to have a wedding. We had a small (60 people) wedding, so we were able to use different rooms of the mansion. Im not sure how it would be for a large wedding but for our size I highly recommend it. The prices were great and its all inclusive...no hidden charges, which was really nice. We knew exactly what we were paying when we booked. The ladies where great with all the details...I had nothing to worry about. Theres also no need to hire a wedding coordinator or even a day of coordinator. Everything was well organized and went very smoothly. The day was so amazing!
