This is my third event attended at the Dolphin Restaurant. My in-laws provided me with a rehearsal dinner here the night before and the food was amazing, staff was attentive and the attention we received with any small detail we requested was superb. I will definitely be attending and suggesting this venue for future events.

The Dolphin Restaurant and Marina used to be in a little shack on the water. A couple of years ago, a gorgeous, airy, sunny, open building was constructed, and wow, what a view. We took our guests to the restaurant for our reception, and had just a wonderful time.
Although the restaurant does not take reservations normally, they WILL for a large group. You can get a table, and probably with a limited enough group, order right from the menu. Or the bar area is really nice, too. The motif is scandinavian - looks like everything came from the high-end of an Ikea store, but it is tasteful and clean.
If you have to order ahead, I highly recommend the fish chowder (chowdah). Even more than the lobster or lobster stew. Fish Chowder put this place on the map for a reason. And the fish sandwiches are fantastic, too. I don't know if you can bring your own cake (we did not), but they are so pleasant and accommodating, I think it would be fine.
