We can’t thank Jenna and Amalia enough for taking care of our pup, Wesley, on our wedding day. We were hesitant to include Wesley in our wedding day at first because he’s still a pup and we weren’t sure who to leave him with, but once we met with Jenna and Amalia, we knew there was no one better for the job! They took care of him like their own - making sure he was happy, fed and cuddled throughout the day. They brought him to the venue for the ceremony and assisted perfectly with having him walk down the aisle and picture taking. They then brought him back home and got him settled in for the night. We were completely at ease knowing he was in the best hands and we were so happy they were able to help us include him in our special day. Jenna and Amalia worked so hard and SO flawlessly that even weeks after our wedding we’re still hearing about situations (and people) they mitigated for us. It was truly a huge weight lifted off our shoulders to have them as our team for before and especially on the day of our wedding!! They’re organized, calm, ask the right questions, and simply just get it all done somehow. Not to mention they are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and just all around amazing people to know. I genuinely don't know how we could have pulled off our wedding without The Butterfly Effect. Amalia and Jenna were, without a doubt, the most important part of making our wedding day what it was.

We had our first meeting in late June. Because of a family illness, I wanted to get married in August, which meant asking them to plan an entire wedding in four weeks during peak wedding season. I was stressed about the timeline and about the fact that this wasn't how I'd envisioned getting married. Amalia and Jenna understood the sensitivity right away and told us they'd get it done.

We wanted the night to feel untraditional and intimate: about us, our families, everyone together, without the typical wedding "fluff." We started without much of a vision, and they helped us build one from the ground up, always pushing us toward what we actually wanted rather than what was expected. The planning itself felt seamless, we met once or twice a week and stayed in constant touch over WhatsApp. They'd pull things up on Canva during calls and make edits live, so I could see what something would look like instead of imagining it from a description, and they never blinked at going through multiple versions of something to get it right.

They also had an incredible eye for the details that made our wedding feel so personal: staying up late to perfect signage and menus, working our dog (and the six other dogs and cat in our families) into the napkin designs, bringing their own decor and supplies for everything from the card box to the matchbook bowls. They walked us through big venue decisions, like backyard wedding vs restaurant buyout, without ever steering us toward whatever was easier for them. And the vendor team they built around our day was a dream team; every vendor raved about working with them.

On the day itself, every detail was perfect. They were always nearby when we needed them and completely invisible to our guests, like having two extra maids of honor who happened to know how to run a wedding. At the end of the night, exhausted, we didn't have to think about cleanup or getting our things home, they handled it. The entire day was the most warm, intimate, beautiful, happy, and genuinely "us" evening we could have imagined.

So many people asked how we pulled off a wedding like this in four weeks. The answer is Amalia and Jenna. They are highly talented, organized, creative, thoughtful, responsive, and truly care about their clients. But more than anything, we just connected with them. They made us feel so secure throughout a process that could have been incredibly overwhelming, and they made the beginning of our marriage feel so positive and joyful. I am so, so grateful that we found them. I am going to miss them so much, I’d have another wedding just to work with them again. If you are considering The Butterfly Effect, hire them!!!

Where to even begin…Jenna and Amalia were angels, miracle makers, warmth and light keeping us calm throughout the planning process and especially on wedding day. They did 3 month coordination for our Long Island backyard wedding, and they were truly amazing from start to finish. As a queer couple ourselves, it was important to us to have queer vendors that would protect, honor, and celebrate our love and our nontraditional choices as we planned our day. Jenna and Amalia did exactly that. We had some hiccups along the way, including a vendor bringing me to tears a week before the wedding. They stepped in immediately, had our backs, and handled the situation with the utmost grace and care. We felt protected and secure knowing they were in our corner. Then, when we needed to add last minute tents two days before the wedding, they reached out to vendors on our behalf and got us quotes within a few hours. We had the new tents installed within 24 hours, making sure that everyone could stay dry but that we could still have the day we wanted.

Now, for wedding day itself. It was POURING rain on our wedding day. Parts of the backyard were flooding because of this, and I don’t even know how, but Jenna and Amalia made it all ok. They devised creative solutions to make sure our guests got around the backyard safely that we would have never thought of. They led the vendor team impeccably and kindly, making sure everyone had what they needed. After the wedding, I learned that they had put out so many little fires along the way that I had no idea about on wedding day. It was the best day of our lives, and Jenna and Amalia made it possible. Jenna bustled my dress with safety pins on the dance floor. Amalia was waiting for us after the ceremony with drinks in hand. Every single member of my family has brought up Jenna and Amalia’s grace, professionalism, skill, kindness, and care when reflecting on wedding day. We’ve told them already that they are on the hook for all future family weddings! We are endlessly grateful. We recommend The Butterfly Effect Weddings so so highly. They are both simply the best at their jobs as well as incredible humans too.

Jenna and Amalia were great to have as our wedding coordinators. They sat down with us to go over all of our planning details, and helped us organize everything we needed for the day to go smoothly. They helped us create signs and menus, and were positive and nice to talk with throughout the whole process. On the day of, they made sure everything was running smoothly, and assisted us in getting everything set up and our vendors organized. I would recommend them, and am so grateful for their help in making my wedding day a great success.

This is a belated, but well-deserved review for Jenna and Amalia at The Butterfly Effect. We used their services as Day-of Coordinators at XIX in November, and while the venue provided its own coordinator, our wedding—and the entire planning process—would not have been the same without them. These ladies are kind, organized, and provided invaluable support.

In the months leading up to the wedding, they helped keep me on track and made the planning feel far less overwhelming. They were especially helpful acting as liaisons between us and the venue/venue coordinator. Several things we were initially told “no” about were ultimately facilitated thanks to Amalia and Jenna. Their willingness to advocate for us and find solutions made such a difference. Their support always felt unlimited. I especially loved our Zoom sessions where we could talk through details, brainstorm ideas, and work through any questions. Their experience helped provide perspective when we were planning.

On the day of the wedding, they arrived early and immediately got to work ensuring everyone was set up and had what they needed. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and the way they handled anything that came up throughout the day. If I could change anything, it would only be that I wish we had asked them to stay a little longer into the evening—but the few late-night hiccups we experienced were unexpected and ultimately venue-related. The moment I appreciated them most was right before it was time for me to walk down the aisle. Not only did their mini-fan absolutely save me, but their calm presence and kind words made such a difference in that emotional moment.

Anyone would be lucky to have The Butterfly Effect bring a touch of magic to their wedding day.

For example, it felt very reassuring to be able to make untraditional choices that felt right for us without worrying about judgment or misunderstanding. Representation matters, and they made us feel seen and supported the entire time.

When we first began planning our wedding, hiring a day of coordinator never crossed our minds. As we started to get closer to the big day, we quickly realized that was a mistake and panic began to set in.
I frantically searched the Brides of the Hudson Valley Facebook page and googled some of the names that popped up and one of the first I came across was The Butterfly Effect Weddings. The name resonated with me first because it is indicative of serendipity and comforted me to think that maybe I wasn’t too late to hire someone, maybe I was doing it exactly when I was supposed to. Then as I started reading about Amalia and Jenna, for reasons I can’t explain, I felt an instant connection and immediately reached out. I was sad to get an out of office response as they were on a very well deserved holiday for the end of December but to my surprise within a few hours, I received a personal response from Jenna saying that they’d like to set up a call.
From there, the deal was sealed. During our first conversation I felt like I could tell them anything and that I’d known them my whole life. The level of ease and comfort they provided during one of the most stressful times was overwhelming in the best way. They took calls with me at crazy times during their trip to the Philippines and made me feel like I was their only priority while they were also visiting family. Not only did I have faith in their ability to execute on the day efficiently, but given their background in interior design I also had complete faith that every detail would be considered and executed with intention.
Fast forward to the day of our wedding - the day simply wouldn’t have gone as smoothly nor look as amazing if it weren’t for Amalia and Jenna and their abilities. My new husband, my mom, MiL, Bridal Party, everyone were completely impressed with them and knew they could go to them for anything during the day/ night. They made sure that every item we ordered for our wedding was collected and brought back to our room and not a single thing was missed. They even made sure to get the Christmas tree backdrop we were planning on set up when we forgot.
I cannot thank Amalia and Jenna enough for all they did to ensure every vision we had came to life and I cannot wait to continue building on a friendship with them.
