We can’t thank Jenna and Amalia enough for taking care of our pup, Wesley, on our wedding day. We were hesitant to include Wesley in our wedding day at first because he’s still a pup and we weren’t sure who to leave him with, but once we met with Jenna and Amalia, we knew there was no one better for the job! They took care of him like their own - making sure he was happy, fed and cuddled throughout the day. They brought him to the venue for the ceremony and assisted perfectly with having him walk down the aisle and picture taking. They then brought him back home and got him settled in for the night. We were completely at ease knowing he was in the best hands and we were so happy they were able to help us include him in our special day. We can’t recommend The Butterfly Effect Weddings enough for your dog chaperoning needs for your wedding - there’s no one better!! -

Where to even begin…Jenna and Amalia were angels, miracle makers, warmth and light keeping us calm throughout the planning process and especially on wedding day. They did 3 month coordination for our Long Island backyard wedding, and they were truly amazing from start to finish. As a queer couple ourselves, it was important to us to have queer vendors that would protect, honor, and celebrate our love and our nontraditional choices as we planned our day. Jenna and Amalia did exactly that. We had some hiccups along the way, including a vendor bringing me to tears a week before the wedding. They stepped in immediately, had our backs, and handled the situation with the utmost grace and care. We felt protected and secure knowing they were in our corner. Then, when we needed to add last minute tents two days before the wedding, they reached out to vendors on our behalf and got us quotes within a few hours. We had the new tents installed within 24 hours, making sure that everyone could stay dry but that we could still have the day we wanted.
Now, for wedding day itself. It was POURING rain on our wedding day. Parts of the backyard were flooding because of this, and I don’t even know how, but Jenna and Amalia made it all ok. They devised creative solutions to make sure our guests got around the backyard safely that we would have never thought of. They led the vendor team impeccably and kindly, making sure everyone had what they needed. After the wedding, I learned that they had put out so many little fires along the way that I had no idea about on wedding day. It was the best day of our lives, and Jenna and Amalia made it possible. Jenna bustled my dress with safety pins on the dance floor. Amalia was waiting for us after the ceremony with drinks in hand. Every single member of my family has brought up Jenna and Amalia’s grace, professionalism, skill, kindness, and care when reflecting on wedding day. We’ve told them already that they are on the hook for all future family weddings! We are endlessly grateful. We recommend The Butterfly Effect Weddings so so highly. They are both simply the best at their jobs as well as incredible humans too. -

Jenna and Amalia were great to have as our wedding coordinators. They sat down with us to go over all of our planning details, and helped us organize everything we needed for the day to go smoothly. They helped us create signs and menus, and were positive and nice to talk with throughout the whole process. On the day of, they made sure everything was running smoothly, and assisted us in getting everything set up and our vendors organized. I would recommend them, and am so grateful for their help in making my wedding day a great success. -

This is a belated, but well-deserved review for Jenna and Amalia at The Butterfly Effect. We used their services as Day-of Coordinators at XIX in November, and while the venue provided its own coordinator, our wedding—and the entire planning process—would not have been the same without them. These ladies are kind, organized, and provided invaluable support.
In the months leading up to the wedding, they helped keep me on track and made the planning feel far less overwhelming. They were especially helpful acting as liaisons between us and the venue/venue coordinator. Several things we were initially told “no” about were ultimately facilitated thanks to Amalia and Jenna. Their willingness to advocate for us and find solutions made such a difference. Their support always felt unlimited. I especially loved our Zoom sessions where we could talk through details, brainstorm ideas, and work through any questions. Their experience helped provide perspective when we were planning.
On the day of the wedding, they arrived early and immediately got to work ensuring everyone was set up and had what they needed. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and the way they handled anything that came up throughout the day. If I could change anything, it would only be that I wish we had asked them to stay a little longer into the evening—but the few late-night hiccups we experienced were unexpected and ultimately venue-related. The moment I appreciated them most was right before it was time for me to walk down the aisle. Not only did their mini-fan absolutely save me, but their calm presence and kind words made such a difference in that emotional moment.
Anyone would be lucky to have The Butterfly Effect bring a touch of magic to their wedding day. -

If you’re thinking about a day of coordination team and you’re unsure or think you can do it all yourself, take my advice and DON’T WAIT to hire The Butterfly Effect Weddings as your team. You will not regret it!!
When we first began planning our wedding, hiring a day of coordinator never crossed our minds. As we started to get closer to the big day, we quickly realized that was a mistake and panic began to set in.
I frantically searched the Brides of the Hudson Valley Facebook page and googled some of the names that popped up and one of the first I came across was The Butterfly Effect Weddings. The name resonated with me first because it is indicative of serendipity and comforted me to think that maybe I wasn’t too late to hire someone, maybe I was doing it exactly when I was supposed to. Then as I started reading about Amalia and Jenna, for reasons I can’t explain, I felt an instant connection and immediately reached out. I was sad to get an out of office response as they were on a very well deserved holiday for the end of December but to my surprise within a few hours, I received a personal response from Jenna saying that they’d like to set up a call.
From there, the deal was sealed. During our first conversation I felt like I could tell them anything and that I’d known them my whole life. The level of ease and comfort they provided during one of the most stressful times was overwhelming in the best way. They took calls with me at crazy times during their trip to the Philippines and made me feel like I was their only priority while they were also visiting family. Not only did I have faith in their ability to execute on the day efficiently, but given their background in interior design I also had complete faith that every detail would be considered and executed with intention.
Fast forward to the day of our wedding - the day simply wouldn’t have gone as smoothly nor look as amazing if it weren’t for Amalia and Jenna and their abilities. My new husband, my mom, MiL, Bridal Party, everyone were completely impressed with them and knew they could go to them for anything during the day/ night. They made sure that every item we ordered for our wedding was collected and brought back to our room and not a single thing was missed. They even made sure to get the Christmas tree backdrop we were planning on set up when we forgot.
I cannot thank Amalia and Jenna enough for all they did to ensure every vision we had came to life and I cannot wait to continue building on a friendship with them.

From the very first meeting with Jenna and Amalia, I knew they were the ones to help plan my special day. I didn’t need to meet with anyone else — I clicked with them immediately. Their warmth, kindness, and creativity put me completely at ease, and throughout the planning process they always came prepared with thoughtful ideas and solutions. Our planning meetings honestly felt more like I was just hanging out with my best friends than a meeting with my wedding planners.
On the day of my wedding, I was full of nerves and anxiety — until I saw them step out of the car. In that moment, all of the stress lifted. Jenna and Amalia have such a calming presence; they anticipated every detail, solved problems before they even reached me, and made sure I could be fully present and enjoy my day. And honestly they are just FUN to be around. My wedding couldn’t have been more perfect, and so much of that is thanks to them.
Somewhere between the planning meetings, the endless texts, and the joy of the wedding day, Jenna and Amalia became more than planners — they became people I want in my life forever. My family absolutely fell in love with them too; we’re already planning dinners and future hangouts. That’s the kind of impact they have — they don’t just plan weddings, they become part of your story.
I cannot recommend The Butterfly Effect Weddings enough. If you want planners who will not only execute your vision flawlessly but also make the entire process joyful and stress-free, Jenna and Amalia are it. They will forever hold a special place in my heart. -

I slept like a baby the night before my wedding knowing I didn’t have to worry about a single thing the next day. Jenna and Amalia arrived early and set up the decorations and favors, they were on hand with Tide pens, glasses of water, they communicated with the other vendors so the day ran smoothly with no hiccups. I simply enjoyed my day as they ran everything behind the scenes. It was perfect! -

Incredibly enthusiastic and capable team
Jenna and Amalia were absolutely amazing leading up to and through our wedding weekend. In the weeks beforehand they did a great job keeping us organized, tying up loose ends, mocking up decor, communicating with many vendors, and finding us a last minute videographer within budget. We had many moving parts during our wedding weekend and they were behind the scenes ninjas making sure that everything looked stunning and people were where they needed to be.
From the first meeting we could feel their authenticity and care for making our wedding everything we wanted it to be, and they delivered that and more. They always made themselves available to us throughout the process and never made us feel like we were behind or unprepared though sometimes we definitely were. Our wedding weekend had numerous events, cultural moments, vendors, and moving parts especially because it was a summer camp-Indian-Peruvian-fusion wedding, but nothing seemed to dim this team’s ambition. Jenna’s enthusiasm and excitement were always a source of light and encouragement for us in some of the tougher days leading up to the wedding and Amalia’s cool demeanor and get stuff done attitude moved everything along with ease. Despite the tight schedule and challenges we threw at them, Jenna and Amalia made both me and my husband feel grounded after every interaction. Seeing their smiling faces in the crowd during the weekend events was always a source of comfort. They make an incredibly balanced and capable team.

I can’t tell you how happy I am that I found Amalia and Jenna from butterfly effect weddings!! I purchased the Day-Of Coordinator service, hoping that I’d be able to take the decorating, last minute organization, and vendor communication off my plate after everything was planned and booked. But these two experts did this, and SO much more. They helped create and edit the whole wedding timeline, took over communication with vendors starting 7 days BEFORE the wedding, put together my very complicated favor table without a hitch, offered to create signage, ran the music for our ceremony and cocktail hours, and they even did a last minute transport of my wedding bouquets and boutonierres because they were delivered to the wrong building. But most importantly, they made me feel like I could relax and fully enjoy the busy wedding day, and be super present with all my guests, family, friends, and husband. Finally, they just had the best, calmest, most positive and encouraging vibe/energy. I would highly recommend Amalia and Jenna for ANY and ALL of your event planning and coordination needs.
