Facilities and Capacity

Couples can invite up to 175 guests on their special day at The Barnstone. This idyllic escape is available to couples from late April through summer to the last weekend of October. The century-old Slate Barn features two-story-high cathedral ceilings and exposed wood with a weathered texture in every direction. The hayloft ladder and wagon wheel chandelier add to the authentic, rustic atmosphere of the barn. Each building has electricity and ceiling fans to keep guests cool during summer wedding celebrations. The Carriage House sets the scene for your cocktail hour or the bar area for your reception, with plenty of space for tasty nibbles and appetizers. Also included on the property are The Summer House and The Chicken House. The Summer House is the old farmhouse cottage used for summer living, now especially suited for the nearlyweds and their party. The Chicken House has been repurposed into dapper get-ready quarters. Both buildings are air-conditioned and ideal for getting ready for the big day ahead.

Services Offered

The Barnstone is available to host ceremonies, receptions, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. If available, couples who reserve the Barnstone for Saturdays may utilize the facilities on Friday for setup and rehearsal events. Guests are welcome to select professional services to provide food, drinks, and music for their special day. The Barnstone staff can recommend local vendors if requested.
