Very small shop- make a reservation!

After trying on dresses at a mock-Kleinfeld type of shop, with no success and lots of frustration, I went (the same day) to the Bridal Suite. I wasn't really sure what I'd find because even in a huge shop, it's not easy to find a dress that you both like and fit into. The Bridal Suite is great because you're the only one in there, and Jodie gives you all of her attention. The whole process just felt really comfortable and honest. The craziest part of the whole dress-buying experience came afterward, when India (Jodie's business partner) magically whittled down my dress from a (street) size 12 to a (street) size 4 or so. Between May 2014, when I bought the dress, and July 2015, when I got married, I think I went back and forth to the shop maybe four times to do fittings, and in the end everything was perfect. At the final fitting, I picked up a veil for $80 and paid for all of the alterations, which was about $200, I think. Every Saturday when I went in for another fitting/alteration, it was comfortable and pleasant and quick. They were awesome, and I highly recommend them!

The customer service and prices at this shop cannot be matched anywhere else. Come to the Baltimore Bridal Suite if you want a personal touch that you can't find at large chain stores. India (the seamstress) is magical--she can custom make ANYTHING and has a fabulous eye for design. The dress she made me looks like a million dollars but was custom designed for a very reasonable price. Jodi is the owner and takes pride in her work. They have a fabulous selection of dresses of all designs--vintage or classic, beads or lace, white, ivory, champagne, and more. Make an appointment; you won't be disappointed!

I had some dress regret from another dress purchase, so I decided to go looking for a new dress. Jodie was SO NICE, and since it's such a small shop, she only has 1 appointment at a time - so lots of personal attention. I found a gorgeous dress and decided to get alterations done there as well - was not super cheap for alterations, but didn't break the bank either for hemming and adding a bustle. I had a veil I had purchased with my first dress that was white while my new dress was ivory. I was just going to deal with it, but she offered to dye it (for free!). It matched my dress perfectly when I went to pick it up, and I looked great on my wedding day. Thanks Jodie!

THe Bridal Suite is a wedding dress consignment shop in the heart of Federal Hill. Jody, the owner, is fabulous. I brought 4 people with me for my appointment and she closed the store for the morning while I tried on probably 20 dresses. We were a lively crew, and she did a great job of rolling with us.

I was impressed with both the selection as well as the way Jody was picking up on what we were liking and not. She pulled some dresses from the rack that I otherwise wouldn't have tried on that were great.

I made four different stops in and around Baltimore to search for wedding dresses, and I found "the one" at The Bridal Suite! I am so happy to have found an amazing dress that is in wonderful condition and cost half of what I would have paid for it elsewhere.

The Baltimore Bridal Suite was able to meet my idea of beauty with hair & make-up. It was a HOT day, but they did their magic and lasted all day. Thanks!
