The Austin Club is a banquet hall wedding venue located in Austin, Texas. The Austin Club is a historic venue that offers a variety of banquet hall event spaces for weddings and events of all sizes. Their largest event space accommodates up to 250 guests, while the other banquet rooms are ideal locations for smaller and more intimate celebrations. The venue features three floors, each boasting of different event venues for clients to choose from. The second floor, home to the Medallion Room, features a cocktail standing capacity of up to 300 guests and a seated dinner capacity for up to 250. This ballroom can be configured according to the client’s wedding vision, with enough space to feature a dance floor, head tables, and any placement of banquet tables. The third floor of the event space features The Robert Looney Suite, which is a private dining room with a lounge reception area. This event space accommodates up to 70 guests for a standing cocktail hour, and a maximum of 40 for a seated gathering.

History

Built by city father Captain Charles F. Millett in 1878, The Millett Opera House has been the home of The Austin Club since 1981. The opera house witnessed much history and stood the test of time, with performances from many of history’s most famous citizens. A portion of its exquisite hand-painted ceiling resides in the club’s House Conference Room, and The Austin Club maintains a sense of timeless elegance and hospitality as tribute to the opera house’s legacy.
