I pay close attention to the in-between moments: subtle gestures, quiet exchanges, the parts of a day that often go unnoticed but carry the most weight.
I’m drawn to honest emotion and the natural rhythm of a wedding day as it unfolds.
I’m based in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, where I live with my wife and our dog. Outside of weddings, you’ll usually find me working out, tending to my ever-growing collection of houseplants, or traveling for live music—the things that keep me grounded and inspired.

Candid, beautiful shots? Look no further
Tim was amazing to work with! His professionalism and charisma made being in front of the camera very easy. We absolutely fell in love with his aesthetic because it was warm and incredibly candid. He has the ability to bring out the most authentic smile you have by just being himself. He is able to easily encourage you and you can't help but feel confident posing.
If you want a warm, glowy, and candid aesthetic, look no further. Tim will most definitely provide that! During our wedding, so many of our guests couldn't help but compliment on just how much Tim helped them feel comfortable taking portraits. He easily takes away the pressure of feeling natural in front of the camera. We can't thank him enough for capturing the love and splendor of our wedding day.

You’ve found the right photographer for your wedding if you’re looking at Tim
If I could give Tim 10 stars, I would. Working with him was a breeze and his work speaks for itself.
We had a bit of a unique day planned but Tim worked with us to find a custom package that got us all the pictures we wanted and more.
We and our families raved about how sweet and kind he was, especially when taking pictures with our two toddler nieces or our anxious puppy Rosie.
Don’t look anywhere else, Tim is the right photographer for your wedding.

Amazing photos! Made us feel so special!
Tim photographed our wedding and we cannot say enough nice things about having him with us on our wedding day. We are in awe of the sneak peeks we've received (the very next day,) and taking pictures never felt like a chore. We asked for so many shots, but Tim was so efficient it and was constantly checking in on us to see how we were feeling. We are so grateful to have had him with us on the day, and could not recommend him enough!

Amazing experience with Tim Hara
We worked with Tim for our engagement and wedding photos and safe to say we're completely satisfied.
Tim was on top of everything from the get go and was quick to quell any uncertainty/concerns we had when it came to location, weather, and other things out of our control.
On-site, Tim worked expeditiously and output some great shots of everyone. He was flexible with shot requests and also moved around effortlessly throughout the venue to get all the shots he was looking for.
Would definitely recommend Tim!

Amazing Wedding Photographer
Tim is absolutely incredible. He is so easy to work with and such a great person to be around. His photos turn out incredible and really capture the emotions of the moment. He also was incredible with our 3 fur babies! Everything was more than we could've asked for and was a dream to work with-- literally had nothing to worry about leading up to the day and day of the wedding was seamless! All the candid photos were priceless!
We couldn't recommend Tim and his team more!

We couldn’t be more thrilled with our wedding photographer! From start to finish, he was a true professional, but what really stood out was his ability to connect with our 6 nieces who were flower girls. They were a bit shy at first, but he made them feel so comfortable by letting them help him with the camera. He even let them press the shutter button a few times, which they absolutely loved! It was such a sweet and thoughtful way to help them relax and feel part of the process.
The photos turned out absolutely stunning, capturing not only the big moments but all the little details we’ll cherish forever. If you're looking for a photographer who goes above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience, look no further. Highly recommend!

Tim is an amazing photographer and was able to capture our wedding moments perfectly. Working with him was extremely easy and he's very personable. He captured everything we asked of him and more. Excellence and Quality!
There are too many amazing things to say about Tim and his importance on our wedding day. We were first drawn to Tim through his work on Instagram. We loved the vivid, realistic, and candid quality of his work. Meeting him in person for our engagement photos was great to get to know him and get photos before the big day. Tim was detailed, organized, and brought a calming and confident presence throughout wedding planning and the day-of. He captured so many candid moments and encapsulated the day perfectly through his photos. It is so special to be able to relive the day through his photos. We cannot wait to work with him again in the future.

Wedding Photographer Recommendation
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Tim for our wedding this past weekend, and we cannot recommend hiring him as your photographer more! He is so professional and collaborative, and brought a ton of expertise while incorporating our ideas and needs (like a very large family photo). He also great at giving direction and made sure that we got the photos we wanted while keeping us on track for the day. His photos are gorgeous and he made us feel so comfortable. If you are looking for a photographer for any event, seriously consider Tim!

Amazing client service!
We loved working with Tim as our wedding photographer! He really cares about his work, and we had a few different calls with him prior to talk through what we wanted, potential locations, changes to the schedule, etc. to make sure we felt comfortable with everything. He was flexible and adaptable as we mentioned our schedule for the day would be a tad untraditional. We kept him busy with additional photos asks on the day of, which he handled with enthusiasm! He was definitely a pro in figuring out how to pivot and made adjustments on the spot too!
Before we could even think to ask for a sneak peek, he had already sent us a few selects so we could start sharing while we waited for the full gallery. Highly recommend!
