There are too many amazing things to say about Tim and his importance on our wedding day. We were first drawn to Tim through his work on Instagram. We loved the vivid, realistic, and candid quality of his work. Meeting him in person for our engagement photos was great to get to know him and get photos before the big day. Tim was detailed, organized, and brought a calming and confident presence throughout wedding planning and the day-of. He captured so many candid moments and encapsulated the day perfectly through his photos. It is so special to be able to relive the day through his photos. Tim was amazing!
We couldn’t be happier with our wedding photos, both weddings that is! We were originally scheduled for 8/8/20, then 5/15/21, and finally 8/6/21. Tim was so accommodating throughout the entire year with all of our rescheduling due to Covid-19. Our first ceremony was just our immediate family and Tim captured the most beautiful moments in this intimate ceremony while also remaining safe and distanced. Some highlights about Tim that I see as crucial when looking for a wedding photographer:
—Tim was very professional and prompt with all his responses. Especially with all of his extra weddings Summer 2021 and rescheduling, Tim was very responsive to any emails I sent.
—His energy was exactly what you need on your wedding day-- warm and upbeat to help you feel relaxed, but mindful of the timeline and keeping things moving to get all your photos in.
—His website and photo ordering is very user friendly and affordable! Other friends told me their photographer was charging $50 for one 5x7 print and Tim’s site was $7 for a 5x7.

Tim was amazing to work with! His professionalism and charisma made being in front of the camera very easy. We absolutely fell in love with his aesthetic because it was warm and incredibly candid. He has the ability to bring out the most authentic smile you have by just being himself. He is able to easily encourage you and you can't help but feel confident posing.
If you want a warm, glowy, and candid aesthetic, look no further. Tim will most definitely provide that! During our wedding, so many of our guests couldn't help but compliment on just how much Tim helped them feel comfortable taking portraits. He easily takes away the pressure of feeling natural in front of the camera. We can't thank him enough for capturing the love and splendor of our wedding day. -

Ideal Wedding Photographer Experience
Tim was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding. From the outset, I let Tim know that my husband and I are introverted people who are don't feel super comfortable in the spotlight. Tim not only made us feel comfortable, he actually made the photography experience enjoyable for us. He is laidback, organized, and clearly passionate about photography. The pictures came out beautifully. Not to mention, his services are much more cost effective than other photographers we looked at. I would enthusiastically recommend Tim to anyone with photography needs in Chicago. -

We are in awe of the sneak peeks we've received (the very next day,) and taking pictures never felt like a chore. We loved working with Tim as our wedding photographer! He really cares about his work, and we had a few different calls with him prior to talk through what we wanted, potential locations, changes to the schedule, etc. to make sure we felt comfortable with everything. He was flexible and adaptable as we mentioned our schedule for the day would be a tad untraditional. We kept him busy with additional photos asks on the day of, which he handled with enthusiasm! He was definitely a pro in figuring out how to pivot and made adjustments on the spot too!
Before we could even think to ask for a sneak peek, he had already sent us a few selects so we could start sharing while we waited for the full gallery. Highly recommend! -

Beautiful Wedding Photos
We had the privilege of working with Tim for our engagement and wedding photos, and we couldn't be happier! Tim was responsive from the start, and had great insight into locations around the city for these shoots. We are so grateful for Tim. Our wedding was in October 2020, and we had to make some major changes to be able to move forward with our ceremony. Tim was incredibly gracious as we figured out our new plan. On the big day, he worked quickly and turned around beautiful photos that we, of course, will cherish forever. We may not have had the ceremony we had imagined, but Tim was able to capture the magical moments of our small backyard wedding, and we will always have those memories, thanks to him. -

Tim is Amazing!
Tim shot our engagement photos in 2021 and wedding photos in 2022. Tim is simply phenomenal and we highly recommend his services. On top of excellent photography, Tim is always calm, cool, and collected which is incredibly helpful on the big day! Tim is also very patient; we had several big life events pop up in the last year and we just finished our album almost a year after the wedding. But Tim still took the time for multiple revisions to help us achieve our vision. Nothing but positive things to say! Thanks Tim!

What a Pro
Tim photographed our wedding day from first look to the reception. He captured the vibe and adapted to each situation. Tim and his assistant were with my wife and I by car and on foot. They helped balance us out. We were able to get comfortable and forget about the cameras (and tight timeline). Tim asily moved along our friends and family during pre-ceremony pics, and it we actually made up time. Tim captured a ton great moments, especially between our two families. He knew how to blend and follow the energy of the room. -

Tim is truly amazing. From our initial meeting with him, we knew he would be the one to capture our special day. He knows how to handle any situation and makes you feel at ease.

Amazing Chicago Photographer
I have followed Tim on IG for years and love his city pictures, so I knew he would be incredible as a wedding photographer for our downtown Chicago wedding. He was so easy to work with, from our initial meeting with his portfolio, through email communications leading up to the big day, and was so incredible on the actual day. He created an easy timeline to follow and was so efficient in getting all the shots he had in mind and everything I requested. He was very professional and kept us all in line (some of our wedding party can get rowdy!). I even threw him a curveball and completely changed around the list of family photos we wanted after the ceremony. He adjusted with ease and made sure nothing was stressful for us (divorced parents and extra combinations of family photos). I would recommend Tim for anyone and everyone's weddings, he was simply amazing to work with. I know our final photos will be incredible and I can't wait to share with everyone! -

Tim was great to work with! His friendliness and professionalism made the "getting ready" and post-ceremony family church photos painless and not seem like a chore. In between the ceremony and reception we wanted pictures taken at a location that he had never shot before and thus he wasn't familiar with the space. Tim's talent and eagerness to try new things made the pictures turn out fantastic. During the reception, we trusted Tim to capture the evening as he saw fit and he did not disappoint. Tim delivered the hi-res digital photos in a timely manner. Overall, we have no complaints of any size about using THara Photo. We highly recommend him to everyone! -

I'm forever grateful that Tim was recommended to us by a friend. Right from the initial meeting, Tim was kind, honest, professional, and made us feel at ease. I'm SO glad Tim was with us on our wedding day. The communication leading up to the date was great, and we knew just what to expect. He made everyone feel calm and created a relaxed environment for bridal party and family group photos. The photography was one thing we did not have to worry about on our wedding day. Let me start by saying: Hire Tim Hara! You will not find somebody who loves their work more, and his passion for photography is evident in his incredibly beautiful images. On top of that, he is such a pleasure to work with. We literally can't wait until we need a photographer for another event so we can hire him again, and honestly we couldn't recommend him more highly.
We originally found Tim and a list of other local photographers in a search for our engagement shoot and eventual wedding. Tim was our first phone call on the list, and after we hung up, we crossed out all other names; we were that impressed. We already loved his portfolio that we had seen online, and after getting to know each other over the phone, we knew he was our guy.
Tim is everything you want in a photographer. He is extremely easy to get along with and really knows his art. For our engagement shoots he had great recommendations for locations and types of shots, and we were SO thrilled with the outcome. They were our favorite pictures we've ever had of ourselves, until our wedding day. Tim was our favorite wedding photographer either of us had ever had the pleasure of meeting. Both of us have been to countless weddings over the years (and each stood up in several), and as a result we have met and interacted with many people in this profession. Truly, there's no better than Tim. When we got the photos, it made the day seem even more magical. All the emotions came back (and then some) as he captured beautiful moments and scenes perfectly. Amazing Experience with Tim
Tim was such a pleasure to work with for our wedding. He was super responsive to any questions that we had throughout the process and very flexible with us as the plans for our wedding evolved. One of the most frustrating parts of wedding planning is the lack of transparency and communication with vendors. Tim was so gracious and the opposite of that! From the moment we met, we knew we wanted to work with him. We joked that during our wedding we couldn’t find the photographer- meanwhile, in every casual video of the day, you can clearly see Tim in the background! He was present yet not in the way of anything that was happening- unlike many weddings I have seen before. We had a winter wedding and he was so patient and genuinely cared about getting our shots. His previews showed us exactly how talented he is, and we are so grateful that we chose him as our photographer. His pricing transparency was extremely helpful, and sold us immediately because of his candidness. You want Tim as your photographer! There are no gimmicks, and you will be absolutely beyond satisfied with the shots you get. We had the best experience with Tim! We were supposed to only do an engagement shoot in Spring but that had to be postponed due to Covid-19. Tim was super flexible and accommodating with the scheduling, until we found the perfect morning for the shoot in early July. We were so pleased with his photos that we hired him for our last minute elopement. That day it rained so much that we were close to cancel our outdoor event. Tim was ready to just go with whatever we would decide...until a big rainbow came out! Tim was there to capture all of that beauty. The photos are incredible, his flexibility really payed off! -

We couldn’t be more thrilled with our wedding photographer! From start to finish, he was a true professional, but what really stood out was his ability to connect with our 6 nieces who were flower girls. Amazing Photography Experience
Tim was incredible to work with. My husband was not super comfortable in front of the camera, but Tim helped put him at ease through in-person meetings and our engagement photo-shoot. We loved the way our engagement pictures came out, and come wedding day my husband was so much more comfortable.
We got rained on during pictures on our wedding day. Tim and his team took it like champs. They helped us stay as dry as possible while still capturing photos of us with our skyline behind us and the clear umbrellas we brought. It was great to have them on our team in those moments when we were panicking...they were so calm!
We hardly noticed them sneaking around doing their jobs throughout the ceremony and reception (in a good way), which was great because he was able to capture our day the way it happened, rather than taking a bunch of planned, posed photos. We also just received our pictures, less than a month from our wedding day! We are so impressed with the fast turnaround.
We look forward to working with Tim during other events in the years to come. We would highly recommend him! -

Amazing experience - can't recommend enough
My husband and I worked with Tim for our wedding on 12/3/22 and we could not be happier! His work speaks for itself, he is such a talented photographer and has a great eye.
On the day of our wedding, Tim did an excellent job of getting all the shots we wanted and more. We had a Catholic ceremony and he captured all of the important moments and was able to do so comfortably without a second shooter. We appreciated his enthusiasm throughout the day, especially as we took photos outside in 20-degree weather. We are thrilled with how the photos turned out and how he captured all of the emotions on our wedding day. We cannot recommend him enough! -

His service started well before our wedding day as he helped us plan our day-of timeline to ensure that we got the photos we wanted without feeling rushed and with consideration to all of our other wedding activities.
As our photographer, he wrangled kids and grandmas for photos, knew exactly how we should pose, and made even the most camera-shy of us very comfortable. As for the quality of our photos, we honestly couldn't be happier. He got all the posed photos we wanted, but blew us away with the candids he captured throughout the event. -

Tim was perfect! I could not have asked for a better photographer. We had a brief conversation a few weeks before the wedding. I was able to explain what I was looking for on the day of. Not only was Tim a fantastic photographer but he was also a wonderful person to work with. We initially choose him because we felt like his photos had a timeless style, that we could enjoy for the rest of our lives. During our engagement photoshoot, we found Tim to be kind, that he had great ideas for various shots, gave us clear directions, and was amenable to all of our ideas and suggestions. And as a couple that don't normally feel comfortable with taking pictures, my fiancé and I LOVED all of the photos that came out. But my favorite example of his great character came while we were shooting photos right before our wedding ceremony. I was feeling rushed and panicked from being behind in our schedule, but Tim reassured me, telling me that everything was okay and would be fine - and that the most important thing was to be in the moment and enjoy every second of the day. I'll never be able to thank him enough, because that advice really did help me calm down and enjoy the most amazing day of my entire life. For your sake, I hope that Tim will be available to take pictures for your special day as well, because I guarantee that you will not regret it. -

We worked with Tim for our November 2023 wedding. He also helped with our engagement photos early in 2023. He was fantastic to work with all the way through from the hiring process all the way to delivering our photos. Tim works with you for a fantastic balance of getting us what we want, but also guiding us through the areas where we needed help. Tim was absolutely exceptional! He takes some of the best pictures you will ever see! But there are a lot of people that can “take good pictures.” What separates Tim is his incredible professionalism and his obvious passion for what he does. Wrangling friends and family and managing time at a wedding it almost impossible. Tim somehow can handle large groups of people with tons of different (and sometimes demanding lol) personalities and still get the most incredible pictures! But even though he is so involved and gives great direction; as the wedding day progresses, you start to forget he is even there! He just seamlessly navigates your big day, never missing a moment!
