The Teachout Building is a unique and historic venue space located in Des Moines, Iowa. Renovated and designed by late architect Kirk V. Blunck, the venue is a beautiful historical space that could make for a spectacular setting for your wedding ceremony or private event. The Teachout is conveniently located in the heart of the Historic East Village, providing easy access for your guests.

Great experience

Willing to work with clients, understanding to a point, as a COVID bride I can say these circumstances can bring out the worst in people. But not here.

It was so wonderful having a venue manager like Kaitlin who allowed as many tours as we needed or wanted for out of town family and other vendors such as caterers, DJ, and decorators. The price was great for all the space available. Only downfall, is that we needed to rent all chairs and cocktail tables.
