The River Center

The River Center venue is the perfect mix of rustic meets industrial, with unique elements sourced from local entities in Des Moines. With high ceilings, exposed brick and beautiful natural light, the River Center creates the perfect backdrop for your special day!

The River Center boasts over 16,000 square feet, with two bridal suites, two private patios, and plenty of amenities for large groups of guests. The River Center has two separate sides that can be rented individually (River Center North and River Center South), or the entire space can be rented as one large venue. Each side can accommodate up to 300 guests for a seated dinner, or the entire venue can be rented to accommodate up to 450 guests.

Equipped with four bars, and the option for patio bars, the River Center allows for flexibility in the flow of your event. Kick off your event with a cocktail hour on the private patio, or upstairs on one of the mezzanines overlooking the main floor. The possibilities are endless with our versatile space, and we’re here to help offer suggestions or insight along the way!

River Center North and River Center South each has private amenities to ensure that each event in our space runs smoothly. While the venue has the capability of holding two events at the same time, our space has unique glass garage doors that shut to separate the two sides. On either side of the garage doors are heavy-duty sound-proofing curtains and black velvet curtains to prevent any sound or visual cross-over between the two sides. Both sides of the space have a sizeable mezzanine, a private bridal suite, one bar on the main floor and one bar on the mezzanine, a private patio, and separate restroom facilities. The building is ADA accessible, with available handicap parking. Event parking is located in Lot B, directly west of the building, with over 250 parking spots and overflow parking if needed.

The River Center is a full-service event venue, and provides all food and beverage on-site. Our sales, kitchen, and operations teams work together to help provide you and your guests with an enjoyable and memorable experience from start to finish! We also have a trusted list of preferred vendors, which includes wedding planners and day-of coordinators, decor and rentals, floral, and entertainment!
