I hired Tamika and JoEllen of Tasaris Le Salon to do hair and makeup for my wedding on September 2 in San Francisco. I was having a hard time finding hair and makeup people in SF, and my photographer recommended Tamika from a previous wedding she photographed. I saw photos of Tamika's work, and her makeup style was exactly what I was looking for. As someone who normally does not wear very heavy makeup, I wanted something that was more dramatic than what I normally wear, but also something that would look very natural in photographs. Tamika understood my request perfectly, and I was pleased with both my makeup trial and my makeup the day of the wedding.
JoEllen also did a great job listening to me during my hair trial and styled my hair with exactly the look I had in mind. She was very helpful in suggesting what brand of hair extensions I could purchase for added length and volume, which I did choose to do before my wedding. I normally have extremely straight hair that does not hold curls particularly well, but JoEllen did a great job styling my hair, and it lasted the whole night.
On the day of the wedding, Tamika, JoEllen, and another assistant showed up to my venue early - before the hotel had even unlocked our room for the day! They got to work quickly and the schedule for my bridesmaids and mom ran ahead of schedule. They were even able to add in the mother of the groom as a last minute addition to the schedule. All three have great personalities, which is a must when you are spending hours in a room with the same group of people. All of my bridesmaids loved the end result of their hair and makeup.
