About

Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest, is a wedding venue located in Valparaiso, Indiana. These beautiful gardens make a picturesque setting for weddings, commitment ceremonies, and vow renewals. Offering scenic views, manicured lawns, and indoor spaces for receptions, Gabis Arboretum is the perfect location for your special day.

Facilities and Capacity

*You may choose from a number of idyllic spots throughout the grounds to exchange your vows.*

The Meyer Memorial Pavilion is a covered stone pavilion overlooking an expansive lawn and a picutresque pond that can be used for either ceremonies or receptions. Be able to say "I do" beneath a lush green arch on the lawn, before moving into the pavilion for a small reception of up to 100 guests.

The Sidetrack is a vast lushes lawn with a capacity to hold up to 400 seated guests, perfect for large ceremonies and outdoor receptions.

Smaller ceremonies , which can be held in our Rose Pavilion, a brand-new pavilion, that is adorned with roses and other vibrant flowers. This picturesque space can hold up to 75 seated guests.

Elopements or micro-weddings of up to 35 guests can be held in Ed's Oasis, Council Oak, or Window on the Wetlands all places include vast lushes land with pictureseque views.

For indoor ceremonies or receptions, you may opt for the Railway Depot, a charming former railway station overlooking the Railway Garden. This space holds up to 80 guests for a seated dinner and 150 for a ceremony.

Inside the Railway Depot includes the Spike Room, which can host smaller gatherings of up to 24 guests.

Services Offered

Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest can provide tables and chairs for your ceremony and reception, and also offers tents for outdoor events. Outside caterers and vendors are welcome, allowing you to customize your special day to your liking. The space makes the perfect blank canvas for any wedding vision. On-site parking is available for guests, and the venue can provide a shuttle service if desired. Dream Wedding!!

I fell in love with this venue after the first time visiting it, and we booked it immediately after - we knew it was perfect for us and our guest count of about 70! Adara and Autumn were fantastic the entire time about answering our questions and making sure that our day was everything we hoped for! On the day of our wedding, we were battling rain and a forecast that was changing every two seconds. Autumn and her team worked so efficiently to move our ceremony to under their gorgeous pavilion (which I actually preferred that spot so much better in hindsight!). The railway depot and railway garden (complete with the model trains!) were the perfect setting for our cocktail hour and reception, and the bar service was perfect the entire night. We felt so spoiled the day of with the incredible scenery and excellent facilities, and we are so thankful that we were able to have our wedding at Gabis!

Meyer Pavilion venue review at Gabis Arboretum at PNW in Valparaiso, IN

Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest in Valparaiso exceeded our expectation for an outdoor wedding celebration venue! The natural landscapes that surrounded the Meyer pavilion created a magical summer evening experience for our guests and us to enjoy! Our guests kept complimenting the views of the matured woodland trees and water views of Heron pond. Also the photos you can capture from the venue area are incredible. The Gabis staff was amazing to work with! Autumn and Adara attended to every question asked with a smile and friendly personality. they were very helpful in explaining all the options we could do to customize our event. Nick our bartender, from The Great Hall bar, had the drinks flowing to keep us celebrating all night long! We went with the elite bar package, worth every penny! Also, we were able to book a golf cart to help guests get from the parking lot to the venue. Thank you to everyone that helped make our day so special and memorable!

Yevonne was amazing and so helpful and response. Wonderful experience.

We planned a last minute wedding due to family health and the planner was so amazing. The venue was beautiful and the staff was so helpful. We are so grateful for their help!

Most Magical Night of my Life

We had a night wedding at the venue and it felt like it was right out of a fairytale! The garden near the pavilion was stunning and with all our little lights and the fireplace on it looked absolutely stunning! The beauty of the natural space did most of the work and it made decorating much easier knowing the fall leave and flowers would make it look so perfect. Yvonne helped us plan the wedding and was extremely flexible when we shifted the time of the wedding and responded almost immediately whenever we had questions. She made are special day stress free! I am so grateful to have had our wedding at the Arboretum. Thank you!

Easy, affordable, and beautiful! 100/10

Gabis arboretum exceeded any expectations we had for our small intimate wedding ceremony. I was blown away by the affordable prices that these beautiful locations offered. Choosing our ceremony spot was really difficult because each location we toured was amazing. I also really appreciated the convenience of the vendor lists provided to us as it made choosing food/beverages easy.
I would like to give a special thanks to Yvonne who made this whole experience seamless.
She was helpful, kind, and very timely with responses. Yvonne went above and beyond for us and we really appreciate all she did to help us!

Tall Tree is a beautiful place to get married. With the pond, stone pavilion with fireplace, gardens, and nature, our pictures turned out gorgeous. There is no other venue that I would have rathered gotten married at!

Do not wast your time!! They are impossible to get a hold have - I have been trying for the last four months. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because people from the area (who had never had or been to a wedding there) continue to recommend it. I wish I would have read their Facebook reviews. Almost all of the 1 star reviews are from other brides. Seriously, do not waste your time!
