Talana was one of the bakers utilized by my wedding venue for the wedding cake. I reached out to her to schedule a tasting and she was very responsive. Her cakes were delicious! And she even made a bonus sample because it was similar to what I had chosen and very popular. So we hammer out the details of what I want in a wedding cake etc. etc. At this point I know she does flowers as well but I've already made arrangements with a florist that has an exceptional reputation in the area. Unfortunately, it became clear that he was also exceptionally disorganized and couldn't keep the details of my wedding straight. I would e-mail him a list of how many of everything I needed and in what colors and his e-mail response reflected something completely different. After many such interactions, I panicked and maybe 3 weeks before my wedding reached out to Talana. She was able to accommodate what I needed, she was communicative and she instilled confidence. When the wedding rolled around the cake was absolutely stunning and the flowers were gorgeous. Everyone commented on how delicious the cake was and how beautiful all the flowers were. She even gave us an extra boutonniere in case we needed it. I cannot rave enough about the quality of her work and how impressed I was with her. I very much appreciate her talent and professionalism.

My review is coming SUPER late, and I don’t want to owe an apology to Talana Maria’s for that. However, I am absolutely thrilled to write this review and I do hope it helps future couples in their upcoming decision making!

Initial Consultation
Talana is the most bubbly and warm person you will possibly ever meet when it comes to wedding planning. Our first meeting was Professional, informative, successful. You will find that the tone of your planning will begin after your first initial meeting. We discussed price and my wedding concepts (provided by myself) during this meeting. After we parted I absolutely knew I needed her by my side.

Planning
Planning with the help of Talana Maria is fun, effortless and of course at times a little hectic with normal Bride stresses. My biggest compliment is that she has your back 100%. There were things I required from my venue that were not offered and together we made it happen. Talana absolutely made me feel like I was her only client. That’s how passionate she is about her Brides.
In addition, we happened to have the same style and agreed on my vision through and through. If you are a rustic/Autumn/DIY bride, she is your go to! She has an amazing style and will bring ideas to your vision without trumping them.
My only take-away for future brides- make sure there is sufficient/completed documentation between yourself and Talana Maria. There were a few minor misses on the day of that were not captured, however not documented (only discussions via email).

Décor
Talana Maria has the most beautiful pieces to help display flowers, desserts, tables, lanterns etc. She was very generous to allow me to use some of her very special pieces that completely captured the rustic vision I had. My bridesmaid bouquet we nestled on top of her vintage inspired lantern and I cannot stress enough how obsessed I am with how they came out. I get compliments all the time…a year later.

Flowers, Cake and Deserts
Now, this is where it went from great to perfection. My flowers were everything. I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about them. First, she captured the look of my florals To. The. Tee! Throughout the process, we shared text messages of pictures and suggestions. I was even given photos while she was creating the bouquets. Zero guessing as to how they will show up, because she invites you in her process. Day of my flowers were fresh, vibrant and best of all stunning. The Arbor flowers were stunning. The bridal party florals were stunning. And my table arrangements were absolutely breathtaking. Your guest will fight over the center pieces, guaranteed.

The cake and deserts were delicious AND beautiful. I loved my time with Talana during our cake tasting and she has an abundance of flavors to choose from. Everything was delicious and super affordable. Baking is definitely Talana Maria’s strong suit and it showed. I’ve gotten rave reviews for all the deserts. Also, there were some odd ideas that I had (for example, black candied apples LOL), and with no hesitation- made it happen. If you have a vision for your deserts she will meet it.

A Bride’s Best Friend
Lastly Talana makes you feel special. I must admit I have lost my cool a few times and went Bridezilla. She does not only calm stressful situations, but when she says she’ll make it right, she is a woman of her word. She is very professional at the same time so friendly you would have thought you’ve known her for years. She is very responsive and knowledgeable. I can’t tell you how privileged I am to have worked with her.

Talana Maria’s was recommended to us by our venue coordinator. She is the wedding cake vendor for the Water Gap Country Club where we had our wedding. They told us that Talana is also a florist and decorator. After speaking with her and seeing some of her work we decided to utilize all of her services for our wedding, and we could not have been happier. Talana is an amazing person and so easy to work with. She was open to all of my wife’s ideas and brought it all to life. We also wanted something a bit different. Instead of a traditional wedding cake my wife wanted donuts. Yes donuts. Talana said no problem and we gave her 6 different flavors. She also made cookies, brownies, cheesecake and chocolate mousse shooters, and surprised us with mini apple pies. Everything was delicious, our guests could not get over the variety and quality. My wife also surprised me with a batman groom’s cake and batman cupcakes that Talana made which looked amazing. The table centerpieces and decorations, bouquets and ceremony flowers were gorgeous. If you are getting married in the Stroudsburg/Delaware Water Gap/Poconos area you absolutely need to use Talana for all of your dessert/floral/décor needs. She is worth every penny. One of the best decisions we ever made!

My wife & I cannot recommend Talana more highly. If you need a baker, florist or event planner just stop looking and hire her now. She will not disappoint.

She is a master of her craft and has a true love and passion for what she does. Talana made the cake and cupcakes for our recent wedding in addition to creating our floral pieces and decorating our ceremony space. The desserts were delectable and the floral pieces were stunning! She is an absolute dream to work with and made our day truly special. Even when mother nature threw us a curve ball, she sprang into action and made sure every detail of our indoor venue was perfect! Talana created a beautiful and scrumptious groom's cake for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Even though she is obviously comfortable with creating gorgeous, elegant cakes and cupcakes, she took on the challenge of recreating the Aston Martin logo for our cake and knocked it out of the park! The most difficult part of the whole process was trying to decide amongst her yummy flavor options! Highly recommend!

We met Talana briefly during a Bridal Show at our venue early in our wedding planning. We tried one of her cupcakes on display and were instantly in love. Our coordinator then recommended her for our cake, so we set up an appointment and had a wonderful tasting. We also knew that Talana was a florist and planner, so discussed our vision with her and decided to hire her for everything! We could instantly see she is passionate about her work and extremely talented. We gave her examples and our overall vision, and let Talana take the wheel! We were open to her suggestions and ideas to keep within our rather small budget. We were willing to trust her judgement fully, and she far exceeded our expectations on our wedding day. Everything was absolutely gorgeous and perfectly in line with our vision. She was able to put together an incredible amount of pieces for us without sacrificing quality what-so-ever. A list of everything she did for us: Cake, Cupcakes, Bridal and Bridesmaid Bouquets, Groomsmen Boutonnieres, Grandparent Boutonnieres and Corsages, Ceremony Decor (Aisle and Arbor Florals/Draping), Cocktail Hour Table Decor, Reception Centerpieces and Other Arrangements, Welcome Sign Florals, Sweetheart Table Florals, and probably more that I am forgetting! In the end Talana became more than just our baker and florist, but our friend. We can't thank her enough for single-handedly making our wedding exactly as we envisioned it! Will recommend Talana over and over again for years to come. <3

When I first hired her, she was all for what I wanted as a bride. I couldn't meet her in person (even though I tried to set up an appointment. I sent her many long detailed emails complete w/ pics for what I wanted w/ the food and flowers. We had one phone conversation. (She kept pushing me for her to do my cake too. I'm so glad I didn't.) She tells me she can do what I wanted but one flower might be hard to find as it was in the end of the season.)
As wedding drew closer, I contacted her to meet her & see samples or even taste her food. I gave her multiple days when I was free, but she refused to meet me & asked if we could change multiple items on the menu. (She lived 10 minutes away. I lived 30 minutes away.)
4 days away from wedding. The one day I don't go to the venue with my mom is the day she decides to go. She doesn't communicate to me or my mom about when she will arrive. After my mom pays her IN-FULL, this planner texts me saying that she couldn't find my flowers & asking if we could "Change the colors." I had these colors set for an entire year. She told me she could get these colors. If she had told me this 3 weeks ago, I would understand, but this is 4 DAYS before the wedding. (Im not one of those crazy brides or crazy customer service people. I worked customer service for 2 yrs. I know what it's like.) I simply told her no we can't change the colors. She texts my sister & tellls her that I was a bridezella. The entire week she's none stop texting my sister, not me. The day before the wedding she told my mom and sister that she would be there. We waited all day for her & she NEVER showed. She texts my sister until midnight the NIGHT before w/ pics of the table arrangements which look nothing like the pics I sent her (baby's breath & carnations not hard right?). I didn't meet her until morning of my wedding. Her food wasn't impressive & my husband &I I didn't like it. If you're going to go with her, make sure you're firm w/ her from the beginning.

I set up a consultation online with Talana because I saw her work and the reviews and everything looked great. The day before my consultation I was running errands and got a call saying she will see us in a few hours. I was confused because I set my consultation for the next day so I called. She set it on the wrong day but I offered to come at that time anyways because she had prepared everything and I let it slide. I went to the consultation and everything went well. I thought her cakes tasted and looked great. I didn't see any examples of the florals but they probably would have been great too. A few days later she emailed the pricing over. I had a few questions so I sent her a message. A week went by and I didn't receive a response. I sent two follow up emails a bit later making sure everything was okay. Nothing. Overall, i'm upset that the vendor decided to just not respond to me because I was excited about her.
