As a trained photographer with a degree in graphic design, Kristin Hoshino of Swell Photography has an eye for composition and color that results in breathtaking imagery. Her portraits create a striking harmony between the beauty of her subjects and the inspiring Hawaiian landscape. Creating heirlooms for couples to pass on to their own families is a passion for Swell Photography.

Meet the Business Owner: In 2010, Kristin Hoshino decided she was done with the cold weather and long hours of NYC and moved to Kauai to create the life of her dreams. Photography has always been and continues to be a passion as well as a career. She loves being surrounded by Hawaii's colors by swimming in the turquoise water, hiking in the green hills, strolling past backlit red hibiscus, watching puffy white clouds floating by in a sky that is so blue, witnessing the fiery orange and pink sunset, and the purple twilight with diamond-like stars. To be able to experience and capture this indescribable beauty to share with her clients is truly a gift.
