Roy was absolutely AMAZING to work with. We got married on Block Island and we wanted to ensure that we chose someone who could bake not only a beautiful cake but also handle all of the logistics of getting the cake to the island. Everything went smoothly day of, things couldn't haven't gone better. Everyone said it was the best cake they had ever tasted, the peanut butter and chocolate is the best thing you will ever have!

My husband and I agree that the wedding cake Roy McGill created for us was the most delicious cake we’ve ever tasted. Our guests raved about how scrumptious it was. Roy is a great guy and was extremely generous with his time and in accommodating our requests. He offered eight delicious cake flavor and filling combinations at our initial tasting. We decided that our ideal cake would be sophisticated combinations representative of our favorite desserts. Roy graciously invited us to a second tasting of different cake and filling combinations and offered expert advice to help us make our decision. Roy used the highest quality ingredients for two gourmet combinations: chocolate cake, ganache, fresh cherries and kirsch; and dense sponge cake with rum, pastry crème and fresh berries. His charge per slice was in line or less expensive than other Newport area cake makers. We chose a simple white fondant with Swiss dots and beaded edges for the exterior, but Roy has many photos that demonstrate his expertise in creating wedding cakes with intricate designs and decorations. We highly recommend Roy and are happily looking forward to his recreation of our wedding cake on our first anniversary.
