Exceptional Quality. Superior Results.

I've been to numerous barbers in the area, as well as this shop and hands down Swagger & blade is the place to go. The team at Swagger & Blade are a group talented individuals that care about the craft. Joe is a savage barber and does an impeccable job each time.

To the 1 star individuals below: the beauty of this free country we live in is that you can simply take your business elsewhere. If you are offended by how they run their business, go somewhere else because you can and no one cares. Why would you drive back to confront them like a tough guy and get in their face without a mask on, after you just complained about the lack of masks while you were there? You "forgot it in your car" ?? cmon.

1 mask, 2 masks, 3 masks, masks don't really protect, all you need is the vaccine, 2 vaccines, 3 vaccines, can't really call it a vaccine because it doesn't provide immunity. Masks & weekly tests only for the unvaccinated, vaccinated can still carry and pass the CCP virus but aren't subjected to the mask & weekly testing mandates. We masked up to protect others, vaccinate to protect ourselves only from the possibility of a lesser severity of the CCP virus not immunity from it. So, vaccinated that is unknowingly infected is unmasked not protecting others as they are out acting virtuous in their community while the unvaccinated who follow the suggested mask mandates for the unvaccinated are actually out there protecting others in their community...lol

At the end of the day, if you want a high quality haircut then be sure to book with Swagger & Blade. You can wear your mask inside if you wish because these gentlemen believe in our constitutional freedom of choice.

My groom, his dad, and groomsmen went to Swagger and Blade on the morning of the wedding for straight razor shaves and trims. They had such an awesome time! When you're not the one in the chair, the guys drank beer and played darts and video games. Perfect way to start one's wedding day. Shaves and hair cuts looked amazing! Only negative is that they only accept cash (even for the deposit).

Absolute mess

Nobody wears mask or have any extra sanitation measures in place. When I complained about it the owner started going off about "free country" etc... I asked them if they could wear one while i was there and they told me I could leave. Will never go back. will never recommend

These guys are a bunch of motorcycle thugs

I write this with more disappointment and genuine fear and bewilderment over anger. These guys are thugs. Those tough looking photos on their site? They believe it. To the point: None of the barbers in either of their two locations wore masks on the day I went there.
The Asbury location was where I started. I went in, mask on, sat down and had a friendly chat with Tommy. He started laughing hard and i thought geez he's gonna breathe on m....wait. This guy's not wearing a mask. I turn and NObody in the place is. I ask him why nobody's wearing a mask (which is mandated by the state for hair cutters). He smiles, takes his hands away and says, "it's a free country. You can leave if you want." I was shocked but I just left. I sat in the car and started sharing it on social media. They came out and sat on their motorcycles staring at me. I drove away, waited a while then came back, hoping to get a pic of these morons. Vinny came running out and gave me his best Jersey, "you gotta problem, bro." This dbag has a temper; I remember him going AWOL on a customer last summer. He starts giving me the whole "free country, rights, blah blah" I yell at him that a relative just died of this. That's the truth. I also said i know 15 other people who have had it. "Come here, come in, bro" ahhh, no I don't want to. He grabs a thermometer and starts clicking it, "here ya, no what it says? You're an a-hole." Then Tommy comes out says "crack his head open." (Really?) We start yelling at each other and I realize that i left my own mask in the car, so now we're all yelling at close range, they both egging me with, "come on bro, I'm right here." Yea, right here - IN DOWNTOWN ASBURY, The last place you'd expect to find 1- an extreme ignorance for what isn't even just this country; it's the world. I asked them if they thought this whole thing was a hoax. "yea, and you're a sheep." uh huh. So... the whole world is just one big conspiracy NOT to get Trump re elected. Thugs: they don't give a s**t about him or us. As I said from my own experience, it's real. 2- To basically give me and any customer the finger and impose your politics - and lack of consideration -for health and safety on me. You want to say f u on your own time, that's your right When I'm your customer, paying you, in a public place, you give me the same respect I gave you when I called to tell you I was late. 3- Giving the finger to the state mandate and every other hair salon that abides by the guidelines. Especially when the Gov. opened hair salons to give you thug morons a means to earn a living! which brings me to 4 - why would you risk getting fined or closed down in a time when so many people are out of work? What's that gonna prove? I drove by the other location and four barbers in there were also not wearing masks. btw - neither were customers in either locat. Obviously, this is some kind of unwritten agreements between these hells angels wanna bes and some customers who also think that because it hasn't happened to THEM, it's all just bunch of BS.
I'm more disappointed than angry. Idiots like this are the reason why numbers are climbing in NJ again. Imbeciles: it can't all be fake news. The house party in Jackson, the one in Middletown with numerous cases. That's all phony????? The news with drs and nurses saying they're overwhelmed, scared, mentally and physically drained, lacking enough resources for the influx of people in their hospitals? No, it's not like that in NJ - anymore. Because enough people wore masks, distanced and sanitized. I guess when you're big and tatted, that warns off viruses.
No, ya know what? I am angry. Im incensed that these motor cycle thugs would impose their politics on me. Hey complete ignoramuses: Make your shops a private club. charge a moron membership and have all the fun ya want. While youre operating as a public service, you abide by the rules whether you like them or not. Especially when dealing with a service that requires close contact. EVEN if you respected me enough to wear that bandana around your neck that you keep there in case the cops come, you could have put it on and been considerate of me.

And that's their game, folks. They all wear bandanas in case they need to put them on for the police or anyone who tries to take a picture. I asked them, "If you're so tough and don't care, why are all your guys going next door for lunch wearing their bandanas over their faces? He called me a sheep I called him a coward. A coward who is emboldend to say f u to customers, the state, the public at large in Asbury, can't even have the strength of his convictions to go else where and wear his dumb bandana. Why? Cause he's a sheep in thug's tattoos.

This mob is a disgrace to the city, the state and the country who are all trying to get our lives back.

Do you selfish, ignorant meatheads think this is fun???? I HaTE wearing a mask. I hate having my life restricted. But I just do it. period.

This place is the epitome of a wedding day rip off. After the mix up of scheduling an appointment and the lack of communication, the groomsmen were left without their shaves and left to deal with an insensitive pompous barber who disrespected us on the day of the wedding. Buyer beware, this place treats customers like animals.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
