I worked with Susan for my wedding hair and makeup and could not be happier with the results. I wanted someone with experience doing east Asian hair and makeup as well as a team with experience with different hair textures and skin tones for my diverse wedding party - Susan and her team hit the mark perfectly. Me and my bridesmaids, groomswomen, and moms loved the results and felt comfortable and confident. The makeup also stayed on all night despite all the crying!!

When I first inquired with Susan, I was so excited to hear back from her that she was available for my wedding day. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, Susan was very professional and responsive in a timely manner in our interactions. Susan was extremely detail-oriented, organized, and well prepared, and it made me feel that much less anxious for the getting ready part of my wedding day.

During the wedding makeup trial, Susan listened to my concerns & would make recommendations based on which products/colors would suit me best given the look I wanted to go for. And on my wedding day, Susan and her team did an amazing job with my mom's, bridesmaids', and my makeup & hair. I couldn't have asked for a better HMU artist for my big day! Susan did an absolutely phenomenal job on my wedding hair and makeup. My hair stayed in place for 12+ hours (with extensions) and my makeup was also perfect. From start to finish, Susan was attentive, communicative, and very detailed. She was very open to any feedback I had about hair and makeup styles and really listened to my thoughts. I highly recommend Susan and her entire team!!

It was a pleasure working with Susan Lim for my engagement shoot and wedding! I appreciated how much planning and detail she devoted to my final wedding look, and she has an expert eye when it comes to hair and makeup that looks good both in person and in photos. Susan was absolutely amazing! I wanted to look like an elevated version of myself and she did exactly that. I am not great with hair and makeup and she gave me great guidance and ideas when making my decisions and I was blown away even at the trial and then of course at the wedding. She did my hair and makeup, my sister and my 2 sister in laws. She did the most FANTASTIC pony for my sister, who is usually not comfortable with an updo and just absolutely killed it! Everyone received such amazing compliments the whole night and she made me feel absolutely beautiful and created such a confidence in me.

I used Susan for my wedding hair and make-up. She is absolutely fantastic. She is a dream to work with and is so talented. She really understands skin type/hair type/etc and helped me pick a makeup look.

One of the best things I think she has done for me is help me choose my bridal hairstyle. I originally leaned towards having my hair up but after discussing it further, she helped me highlight my best features with a down do. My bridesmaids were in love with her and her assistants. We all came out looking amazing - one of my bridesmaids commented that she actually liked the hair style Susan did more than her own wedding hair!

Susan also does a very thorough job of providing information on Lash Extensions, skincare, etc. I have not seen any other HMUA provide the amount of detail and care that she provided.

Also, getting ready with her and her assistants was so fun! Also, if you are East Asian and are looking for someone who really understands different features, Susan and her team completely deliver and made us all look fabulous.
