Sundy House offers a range of spectacular event spaces from outdoor tropical hideaways to a Mediterranean-style villa. Host a special ceremony on the lawns that overlook the Taru Garden which boasts a stunning waterfall that streams into the Cenote Pond. The Savannah-style Gazebo possesses a unique sense of charm and is a quaint area to exchange vows. The Cenote pond blends man-made and natural aspects and is surrounded by a haven of trees and colorful flowers. This event site is a truly blissful location to host a small ceremony or cocktail reception of up to 50 guests. The Mediterranean Villa is the first of two indoor event spaces and embodies a sense of renaissance within its architecture. The room features surrounding glass walls that can be opened up to display stunning views of the gardens below. The Fresco Villa has an essence of Italian influence and features paintings of local wildlife. The room transports its occupants to an island paradise which makes for a one-of-a-kind reception experience.

Services Offered

Couples can choose between three wedding package options, The Orchid Luncheon, The Cenote and The Taru Garden packages. All three provide an allocated four-hours of event time, as well as a three-course menu provided by the venue’s in-house catering team. The Cenote will provide couples with their own experienced wedding planner who will work alongside them to design an elite wedding experience. Each package includes various beverage and bar services that couples and their guests can enjoy. The management welcomes and is happy to recommend outside vendors.

Cuisine

Sundy House employs an award-winning culinary team that can create a delicious array of dishes for special wedding celebrations. The chef and his crew are happy to cater to any dietary requirements like vegan and vegetarian, while also accommodating any allergies guests might have. They can create many tasty dishes inspired by American, Mediterranean and Southwestern styles.

History

Built in 1902 by the original Mayor of Delray Beach, John Sundy, it was initially used as his home for eight decades. After it served as a personal residence it was used as the town's first bank, a church, and a schoolhouse. The building now features on the prestigious National Register of Historic Places.
