My husband and I chose Summerland catering after he heard some glowing talk about them from coworkers. We set up a tasting with Mike, and we were equally blown away by the great food and his friendly demeanor! He did not charge us a tasting fee (so nice!) and prepared several dishes of our choice - which were, of course, delicious.

Summerland stood out to us among the other caterers available locally because of their easy, friendly way of doing business and the diversity of their business. They cater in Vancouver, WA as well as Longview, Battleground and I think lots of other places inbetween. They also run a couple of excellent restaurants. They do weddings, corporate events, and parties and are well-practiced at many different sizes of events and styles of catering.

This flexibility and experience came in handy for us - we held our wedding at my parents' home, so they needed to come to us and basically operate in a portable fashion because we didn't have a kitchen that met their needs. No problem for Summerland! My husband and I wanted to do away with the boring sit-down dinner and have tapas instead - not a problem! We wanted to serve snacks during cocktail hour that we purchased ourselves, and Summerland's staff took care of setting up and serving the hors d'ouevres even though they didn't bring them. Overall, they were completely professional, flexible, friendly and a great value.

I would recommend them for pretty much any event in the Southwest Washington area where you need lots of tasty food and no hassle.
