Sue Takes Photos is a photography business based in North Haven, Connecticut, specializing in wedding and portrait photography. Owner and photographer Sue Yang is a scientist who fell in love with photography, and changed careers to pursue making art. A creative soul to her core, Sue is also a violinist; these skills come together in a keen eye for light, color, and composition. Sue offers a variety of options to choose from on your special day. From your engagement shoot to the day you say “I do”, Sue can be there to capture each incredible moment. You can add a second camera person and additional hours to ensure that no part of your celebration is missed. With the chance for destination travel, even weddings further afield can book Sue’s photographic talent. When the last dancer leaves the ballroom, you can receive your pictures as digital files, printed on a keepsake canvas, or within a bespoke wedding album.     Excellent wedding photography experience

    Sue was an absolutely wonderful wedding photographer, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Her communications beforehand were always timely and helpful. She did a wonderful job editing and putting together a wealth of beautiful and artful images that capture so many little details of the day, which will always be treasured. Most of all, we so appreciated her joyful and professional style throughout the event itself! She simply brought a lot of great energy which really made so much easier all of the people-wrangling and various scheduling demands of the day. We really just enjoyed having her and her assistant Emily there with us! Thank you!

    Excellent Photographer!

    Sue was absolutely brilliant for our wedding last fall. Clearly very experienced photographing weddings, she asked us what moments we wanted captured prior to the wedding, and included many options we hadn't even considered. On the day, she walked with us around the venue to find the best locations, and the photos testify to her excellent eye for detail. We were particularly impressed by her attention to textures and lighting. We can be a bit camera shy, and appreciated Sue's candor to help keep us from feeling too awkward!
    When time came for family photos, Sue kept things orderly and got all the shots we wanted succinctly. Throughout the reception she was excellent for capturing moments that we are very glad to have and remember.
    I cannot recommend Sue highly enough. Her presence and professionalism greatly improved our wedding, and we will treasure the photos she took for us for years to come.

    A Great Photographer!!

    Sue was truly amazing.......an incredibly talented and gifted photographer. She has an artist's eye and was able to capture the beauty and essence of the most meaningful moments of our wedding day. She responded to our inquiries very quickly and professionally and was a joy to work with. She covered the entire event from start to finish in a most unobtrusive way......the mark of a true professional! And, finally, all of this at a very reasonable price.
