My fiance got my engagement ring (and we are going to get our wedding bands here, too) from Studio 1040. I can honestly say that I have had such a positive experience working with them, and they really put in the extra effort to make sure they create what you want! I had to get my ring re-sized, and not only did they do it same day, they gave me a tour and walked me through their design and production process! It was so cool!

Probably one of the most important things to me, however, is that their stones and materials are ethically mined/acquired and all natural! That is not easy to find! So, not only do I have probably the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen, I can also rest assured that no one was harmed/taken advantage of in mining and creating the ring.

Jacqui is amazing! My Fiancé went to her for my engagement ring and had a great experience with her. He worked with her to design the perfect ring for me. I could not be happier with the clarity, uniqueness, and quality of the ring.

We are going back to her to design our bands. She is so fun and easy to be around, making the process of buying a ring easy and stressfree

Wonderful engagement ring, great response times, highly recommended

I highly recommend Studio 1040 for engagement rings; I was nervous at first buying jewelry on Etsy, but the sapphire engagement ring I ended up purchasing through them exceeded my expectations. Jacqui was responsive and helpful as I went through the process of deciding which ring I wanted. I ended up not liking the original setting because I preferred yellow gold over rose gold (no quality issue, just my aesthetic choice) and the store handled the resetting and exchange quickly and professionally. 10/10!

The first time I saw my peach sapphire and rose gold ring on etsy, I knew it was the one! My fiancé now husband wasn’t super excited about ordering a ring online so he took me to a jeweler in NYC and they just couldn’t replicate Studio1040’s style! Without me knowing, he ultimately surprised me with the original ring from her shop. It was exactly like the photos online! My husband raved about how responsive they were, they even made him a video of the ring before he bought it so he could be sure it was the perfect ring for me. Later we had them make my two bands which are stunning!! I can’t stop staring at them and I get compliments on them all the time! Thank you Studio1040 for making my wedding band dreams come true!!

It was great until it wasn't

Update edit:

In reply to the sellers response;

You sent me a flimsy ring knowing that it will break. You didn't specifically say it will break. For heavens sake I blew it (literally) and that thing flew from the palm of my hand. It would've been comical if it wasn't so sad.
To add insult to injury, THEY'RE RESELLING MY CUSTOM RING DESIGN. Now that is just petty and effed up.

I customized my ring with Jacqui and her team. It came out beautiful actually. I loved the look of it. When I first talked to her, I asked all of the questions because I'm a worry wort. She reassured me that should I be unhappy for ANY reason, I can send it back and she will fix it. I did choose Studio1040 cause of amazing reviews after all...here goes.

The issue is that when the ring came it was (and is) extremely flimsy. It kept getting misshapened. I told her that as soon as I noticed it which was on day 2. She replied back that she can make me another setting for about 300$ (including shipping. How generous -_-). Really?

Excuse me? We just spent 5k+ on this ring that came to us with major flaws and she tried to blame me and make me pay for something else. As she was shaving the ring down to make it thinner, she didn't decrease the price...but wants to increase it to add more metal?
Why would you send a ring knowing it will bend and break? As a jeweler, isn't it common sense to know those kind of things? It doesn't matter how thin you think I want it...you should know that it would break. (Photos sent were so blown up it looked way thicker than it was. Misscomunnication on that part) Get this, it didn't even last 4 months before it broke. BROKE. Lightly tapped it against plastic for heavens sake... And she wants more money. They also do not honor their warranty.

She keeps replying with "we recommended a stronger band". When actually she did not. She did not say anything about it going to break or bend or all of that jazz. She mentioned "durability" but I assumed that had something to do with the color only because I didn't even think about her sending a ring that will break. (First time ever buying and customizing jewelry...live and learn)

As the person buying a ring or any jewelry...your first thought is not worrying if it will break. It's more if the color will last or if the stone will get scratched easily and so on because it should be obvious that it will NOT break (rose gold btw)...especially after only barely 4 months.

My husband replied back that if it is that important to her, then he will pay it because I love the look of my ring that much. But he will not leave a good review to be fair. We both won't get what we want. No replies from her yet. At this point I will be taking it elsewhere.

300$ is not much, but it's the principle of the situation. We just spent so much (to us anyway) on something that is suppose to make us happy but because of this situation...this establishment left a bad taste. Which is a shame.

They can try to downplay the situation and make excuses for my review but in the end, they sent me a weak, flimsy ring that broke in less than 4 months and won't fix it.

Oh excuse me. They said they would "solder it free of charge but don't reccomend it because it'll still be misshapened".

Bottom line, if you have any issues, prepare to pay more. If your ring came perfect with no issues then you should be fine. Apparently the warranty is bogus also. Consider yourself lucky if they do honor it. Wth did I do wrong?

We were treated unfairly. I tried to solve my issues with her before I wrote this review but surprise....no answer from them. As if they were the ones paying ME to make my ring. I even apologized because I in no way want to undermine their work. It really is beautiful. But for spending a few thousand on what's suppose to be a perfect piece of jewelry...for it to break in 4 months. Insane. They didn't want to fix their mistakes without us paying more and I rather pay someone else to do it now. I can't believe I feel bad for writing this review. I wish it was an excellent one but thank goodness I always wait a little while so it can be accurate.

I don't understand why I paid so much for something that is not perfect. I also don't understand why they won't fix it unless we pay more. Like...what?

I am happy that everyone who got there ring loves it. As for me, luck of the draw I guess.
