Olya and Tony is a wife and husband wedding photography team based in Northern New Jersey. We are passionate storytellers who observe and capture what we see through our lenses. Together, we narrate the story we witnessed with all the emotions and sentiments that come with it. We have been telling stories for many years. Sometimes, we can predict the plot, and sometimes, we still get surprised. We are always looking for the next amazing story to tell.

Be yourself, we will do the rest! Most of our couples tell us they are not photogenic and awkward in front of the camera. We respond, "Great!" We love awkward, silly couples who laugh and giggle in front of the camera. We love capturing those moments, and we have the vision to make it look natural, fun, and flattering. You will love how different a photo looks, from a camera phone to a professional photographer who gives direction and understands flattering angles.

Services Offered

On your wedding day, you will see us arrive ready to shoot, and within 30 minutes, you'll forget we are there capturing every moment around you. We are not intrusive and stay out of everyone's way, but we will step up when needed to direct a shot or assist in any way we can. Outside the formal photo session for wedding parties or family and friends, we prefer to capture candids and actions that tell the wedding story. We believe a narrative should not be endless group portraits, but we always welcome a spontaneous group hug in front of our camera.

Experience

We met in 2011 as photographers for Jalopnik at the New York Auto Show. We were both the nerdy type and had a very similar sense of humor. We gradually grew stronger in our friendship as we worked at weddings together, hung out, and did everything together over the course of 4 years. At the end of the four-year mark, we realized we were meant for each other and loved each other, and we decided to take the following steps into a romantic relationship. After one year of serious dating and an overwhelming love for each other, we got engaged on the West Coast and married just a month later. We are inseparable; our work inspires each other and makes each other a better person and artist. We love that the moments we capture and tell are treasured by our couples!
