We booked SWR for my daughter’s wedding and had a very good experience overall. The venue is laid out well and has all of the amenities you could want. The location is a little remote, but the property is gorgeous and it’s really quiet. Owner Jennifer Tisdale was very helpful and responsive to all of our questions during the planning process. They do have a lot of rules, but they are reasonable and clearly intended to protect guest safety and prevent damage to their property. We had a couple of minor issues with bar service, but they were addressed and we have no complaints. The first was that when they told us only beer and wine would be served during cocktail hour, we didn’t realize they literally meant nothing else, including any type of nonalcoholic beverages would be served. They said the soda was for mixers and since they weren’t serving cocktails it wasn’t included. They did eventually agree to provide water for children and other guests who didn’t want alcohol. It was embarrassing and should have been communicated more clearly. Also, we purchased the spirits for the bar from Total Wine with plans to return unused bottles, however even though we had several unused bottles the bartenders had cracked the seals and we are now stick with a ton of 1.5 L bottles of liquor. Aside from those little hiccups, the wedding was wonderful and we couldn’t have been happier with the venue.

We had our wedding at Still Water Ranch 11.20.20 and it was perfect! The venue is absolutely stunning. The outdoor chapel was perfect, and the reception area is beautiful & large enough for our wedding. Jennifer the owner was very responsive and easy to work with. We used Amanda as our wedding coordinator, she works exclusively at Still Water. I was so happy, Jennifer and her made the whole experience stress free and the day so enjoyable! We received so many compliments on how gorgeous everything was.

I attended this venue for my friends wedding, and as the venue was absolutely gorgeous and amazing…I can not say the same for the staff. I went to the OPEN bar asking for a beverage only to be rudely told that they would not use my cup that I brought. This was after I was told it wouldn’t be an issue for me to use my own cup. The bartenders were VERY rude to me and other guests that came to asks for drinks. If you don’t want to work an event and hate your job then don’t do it! I noticed that guests quit going to the OPEN bar for drinks, as they didn’t want to have to deal with these bartenders. Several times the bartenders would roll their eyes when I would ask for a drink or it seemed as I was bothering the female bartender because she just wanted to sit and not help. At one point I got water to find black particles floating around in it. I’m assuming this is sludge from the ice machine. When I brought my glass back the bartenders didn’t think it was a big deal and once again I received eye rolls from the female bartender as if I was interrupting her. So disgusting!

While the venue is beautiful and well appointed, the staff the owner’s employ are unprofessional, incompetent and rude. They ruined my friend’s special day by not serving alcohol received by the OWNER from Spec’s delivery service, who they recommend and saying they were out of wine by 6:30pm for a 5pm ceremony. Not only were the bartenders incompetent, they spoke to guests and the bride/groom so rudely that guests refused to go back up to the bar for a drink and opted to leave instead. They also spoke to the bride in a manner I have never seen someone speak down to someone so poorly. It was insulting, degrading and condescending. I have had better service at local hole in the wall bar than this venue. The bartenders, (paid by the bride/groom provided by the venue) sat on the coolers and refused to move when guests came up to the bar. It is my understanding that the happy couple did NOT have a choice in who bartended their event due to the venue’s policy and fees required. In light of that fact, the venue SHOULD have taken ownership of these issues and made it right after the event by refunding this mandatory fee, however the owners refused to do anything after returning from their vacation in Cabo they left on the next day. If you have elderly, make sure they use the ramp or they might fall and bust open their head and again, the owners will do nothing. Beautiful bride suite though.
