If you are looking for an inexpensive wedding venue in the Houston area then you must come and see our our wedding and reception hall on Galveston Island.

We would be delighted to add your event to the distinguished annals of the Galveston Island Lyceum’s warm tradition of service.

Accented with a Victorian casual ambiance, the Lyceum of Galveston is capable of accommodating 300 people seated theater style and banquet seating for 200. A service kitchen is equipped with a stainless prep table, ice machine, and refrigeration for your chosen caterer. A 12 foot by 16 foot stage is available for band accommodations. Convenient free parking available.

Our staff is also capable in assisting with hotel, spa transportation and other concierge services. We want you to be confident that we will work diligently to ensure that you have everything you need to enjoy our charming and historic Galveston architectural treasure.

Beautiful historical venue

We just had our wedding here on Nov 13th. The place is absolutely beautiful. We had been searching around for a historical venue for our wedding and happened upon this place. We fell in love instantly. Cynthia and her staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Simply the best

Christina and her crew were amazing. They helped us immensely the day of getting people where they needed to be and making sure our day was perfect. I can’t recommend The Lyceum enough for a more beautiful venue inside and outside and a more perfect staff.

The Most Amazing day!

We had such an amazing experience with The Lyceum and with Cynthia, Sheila and the entire team. Cynthia was always there for us when we had a question, and she made the whole process seamless. Everyone still continues to tell us how beautiful the venue was, and how gorgeous the stained glass windows are. It truly is breathtaking and certainly a one of a kind venue.

This Lyceum is a beautiful vintage building that used to be a church. With gorgeous stained glass windows and wood floors, it's perfect for weddings. You get to bring in your own vendors and the rental fee is extremely reasonable!
