DJ Steve exceeded the high expectations that my family had for our wedding. We had a party including mixed age ranges, cultures, nationalities, and music tastes, but he made it all happen so seamlessly. Even during the planning process- his many years of experience with weddings made us feel like we were in good hands and put us at ease. We can't thank him enough for making our big day such a fun party. Our wedding was on a Sunday but everyone was out of their seats and on that dance floor until the end!

If you're getting married at Five Crowns (or honestly, anywhere in SoCal), you should absolutely book Steve Burdick. He was hands down one of the best vendors we worked with for our wedding, and we are still hearing from guests about how amazing the DJ was.

Steve was a preferred vendor for Five Crowns, and now we totally get why. From the very first phone call, he was incredibly detailed, thoughtful, and professional. He listened to everything we wanted and then gave us fantastic suggestions based on his experience. His planning tools made it so easy to organize the music and timeline, and he made sure all of our must-play songs were included.

One thing that stood out right away was how much Steve genuinely cares. He even reached out to our friend who was officiating our wedding (his first one ever!) and gave him tips on how to run the ceremony. Our friend ended up doing such a great job that people thought he was a professional officiant. He definitely didn’t have to do that, but it made such a difference and meant a lot to us.

On the day of the wedding, he showed up and had everything set up perfectly. He’s clearly a pro at Five Crowns and knows exactly what to do. Throughout the night, he kept the energy high and the dance floor full—without ever being over the top or cheesy. He was upbeat, fun, and just knew how to read the room. There were even a couple of moments where the crowd wasn’t vibing with a song, and he adjusted right away to keep things going. Everyone, even the shy guests, ended up dancing.

We also had a unique challenge where we wanted to run to every table to get a photo with each group. Steve was awesome at helping us coordinate it and keeping the momentum up. He also worked closely with our photographer throughout the night to make sure all the activities we planned went smoothly.

Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and emcee. Steve made the planning process feel easy, handled all the details we never would’ve thought of, and totally delivered on everything he promised. If we ever need a DJ again, he’ll be our first call without a doubt.

When we were left DJ-less the week before our wedding Steve was recommended to us by a friend. He was absolutely incredible. He brought the energy and took our do not play very seriously.

Steve was great, very energetic to help us get everything done. Music was the hardest part for us to decide on, but steve was flexible and responsive helping us make decisions and make sure everything went well. Steve Burdick was such a joy to work with! My now husband and I hired him for DJ/MC, photobooth, and uplighting. Steve was very professional and organized. He made sure to prepare my officiant with the mic for our ceremony & provided good music throughout the whole wedding day. Communicating and planning with him was so smooth, as he was always very quick to respond back to my emails & provided good advice on song selections. My whole wedding day from start to finish went so smoothly without any hiccups thanks to Steve’s hard work and professionalism. He provided a wonderful sound track for my wedding and was such a fun MC . The sound quality was clear & Steve did a good job moving from one song to the next. We also hired his company for uplighting and photobooth. The uplighting was so beautiful and definitely elevated the place and the photobooth was such a hit! My guests had so much fun! From our very first phone conversation, Steve was professional, approachable, and genuine. He was supportive throughout our wedding planning. He checked in periodically to see how we were doing, and he was always available if we had questions. He has a website that we were able to visit, at our convenience, and upload song preferences and choices, which simplified things. Weeks before the wedding we had a sit-down meeting with him and discussed the wedding: our goals, preferences, song selections. He gave advice and valuable feedback when we asked. We also took advantage of the other services that he offers: the photo booth and up-lighting. The uplighting significantly enhanced the ambience of the venue, giving it a magical quality. All my guests took advantage of the photo booth and had fun with it. It really broke the ice and brought out everyone's silly side. Soon after the wedding, we were sent a dropbox link that had all of the Photo Booth photos in it, which we were able to download. The best testament to Steve’s abilities, though, is how much fun everyone had at the wedding. Everyone was on the dance floor at some point, and a significant amount of the guests were on the dance floor all night long. I couldn’t recommend Steve enough; he is amazing.

We got married in March of 2021 in San Juan Capistrano, CA and this review is LONG overdue, sorry! I still get compliments about our wedding day and reception (only had 32 people due to Covid concerns) but somehow Steve was able to get every single person out on the dance floor partying! We had the time of our lives at our wedding reception. Steve was amazing at guiding the audience and reading the room when we needed bump up the energy or switch gears to a classic song. He was energetic and a joy to work with. Thanks for making our wedding day so special Steve! We will cherish these memories for years to come. From the get go, Steve was approachable and professional. We genuinely enjoyed talking with him and his insight and expertise gave us a lot of peace. He was quick to reply via text/email and worked with our preferences, while also providing helpful suggestions when needed. On the day of the wedding, Steve kept the reception fun, yet classy. Our guests kept remarking on the great song selection and he even got our dance-shy family members out on the dance floor! By far, he was our smoothest vendor to work with and it's easy to see why he's the best in the business!

We're so happy with the level of service Steve provided. He's incredibly professional, very communicative and organized, and his MC skills were so helpful to have at our wedding. He was absolutely one of the best value decisions we made for our wedding, and we would hire him again in a second!
