Stephen made me a beautiful cake, just like I described to him. We got compliments all night on how delicious it was. The pricing was also very reasonable compared to other bakers. If I have another event I need desserts for, I wouldn't hesitate to call Stephen.

Stephen had a booth at Race Street Market where he had a selection of cake balls and cookies. The cake balls were phenomenal.

We used Stephen for our wedding last month. We met with him in the summer, and he brought us mini-cupcake samples of my requested flavors (i was set on having a white wedding cake, and my fiance was set on chocolate for his grooms cake, so we only sampled those varieties). We ultimately went with "wedding cake" flavor for mine and "devils food for his. All of the ones we sampled were great though! He has a large list you can sample from, of both cake flavors and icing/frosting/fondant.

For the grooms cake I wanted to do something different--my husband is big into Dungeons and Dragons, and I wanted his cake to reflect that---without having a ton of prior knowledge of the subject, Stephen was still able to give us a great looking cake! I gave him a sample dice to work with, and he actually worked with someone locally to have the dice made from dark chocolate--yum! We received many compliments on both the look and taste of his cakes. I would definitely use him again.

He was very flexible. The day of he delivered the cakes to our venue (very affordable) and finished dressing things up--I had figurines for my husbands cake for him to add, and he was able to work with some fake flowers I had for the wedding cake, because low and behold, this DIY bride-mother-of-two forgot to order extra real flowers for the cake, and didn't realize it until that afternoon. It looked wonderful.

Pricing was very affordable--much better than others I had checked out. He does offer cake stand rentals, and will offer discounts on those if you spend a certain amount on your order--I didn't use one for mine but really considered it (i thought my cake tables were a bit higher than what they ended up being). Looking back that's probably the one thing I would have done differently--getting a cake stand. He's flexible and responds to any messages quickly. He emailed us the contract shortly after signing, so that I could reference it at any time. Great experience!

Stephen was a very friendly guy and he provided my husband and I with exceptional service! He does free cake tastings and lets you pick up to six flavors. You get 2 mini cupcakes of each flavor to try and they are super moist and the icings are really yummy! He came to the tasting extremely prepared; he had a menu with all the pricing clearly layed out, a portfolio of some of his work, and a detailed contract that spelled out all the terms. His cakes are extremely affordable, and he offers two types of discounts- you can get 10% off your order if you pay in full or you can split it up into a payment plan. He also gives you $15 rental credit for every $200 you spend on cake, which is good towards the rental of any of the cake stands he has available. He maintained constant communication with us leading up to the wedding and delivery was 15 minutes early! Everyone loved the cake and was asking where we got it from! We will definitely recommend Stephen's Sweet Sensations to everyone we know looking for a cake!
