Stella Stevens Hair Designs of Santa Rosa, California provides on-site hair styling services for wedding events. Stella (Stevens) Rickett is available to travel to your wedding location, both locally in wine country and beyond. Bring your bridal party of up 15 people for hair styling services for the perfect wedding celebration look. This stylist takes the time to get to know each client, offering a professional, relatable and relaxing process.

Experience
Stella Rickett’s interest in hair styling started in childhood and continues today. Boho and braiding is her signature though she can certainly create classic looks as well. She has had her work published in Style Me Pretty, The Knot California, Green Wedding Shoes, Destination I Do and many, many more. This licensed professional has 20 years of experience styling hair and looks forward to connecting with you to make your wedding day unforgettable.

Although not required, hair trials play an important role in ensuring your style fits your vision. Stella Rickett’s attention to current trends is a benefit as she helps to guide you in your style choice, including offering style research assistance. This stylist offers help leading up to the day of the wedding, beyond the initial consultation.

Stella is the best!

I was so grateful to have worked with Stella on my wedding this past May. She did such a beautiful job with my look and was extremely patient when we needed to make a few tweaks. Coordinating the intensive schedule (we had 13 people needing hair and makeup in the span of 4 hours) was made so much easier by her flexibility, and she made my bridesmaids and mom look so beautiful, too! Two things that were really important to me when hiring a hair stylist were 1) ability to work with textured hair, and 2) being LGBTQ-inclusive. She absolutely nailed the assignment, and my bridesmaids who I was particularly sensitive about when hiring the beauty team felt so well taken care of and welcomed by her. This was the best gift to start out the day. The company we hired for some of the other party members ended up botching my flower girl’s textured hair a bit, and Stella stepped in after they left and stayed late to help fix it - no charge. I didn’t even know this had happened until my mom told me a month later, and it truly touched my heart. I didn’t know I could love her more - she is absolutely the best! Amazing hair stylist!!

Stella is an amazing hair stylist!! We used her as our stylist for our wedding a few weeks ago and are so happy we did! First of all, she does an amazing job!! Second, she is easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed on your wedding day! I was so happy with how my hair turned out and so were all my bridesmaids. Even my sister, who is normally so picky about her hair was thrilled with how it turned out, telling me she LOVED her hair and that my hair stylist is super talented. Stella also listened to the changes I made after the trial I had done. For example, I mentioned that there were a lot of pins in my head for the updo after my trial and I have a sensitive head so it hurt after awhile. I figured there was not much she could do to fix this as updos just tend to require a lot of pins, but she worked her magic and on my wedding day, there was no discomfort at all! I couldn't feel any of the pins and I loved how my up do came out. I can't recommend Stella enough!!

Beautiful Wedding Hair

Stella exceeded all my expectations at my bridal hair trial. She asked me a couple questions and then put together a hairstyle based on my answers that was absolutely perfect! During the wedding day she was very calm and easy going, which made for a nice stress-free morning. She has been in the wedding business for a long time so she was able to advise on hair styles and get us ready in record time!

Stella is the best!

Stella is an absolutely brilliant wedding hair stylist. I am completely blown away by her talent! Even as my hair started to fall (only slightly!) at the end of my wedding night, it looked even more beautiful. I completed two hair trials prior to my wedding on 6/3/23 and Stella was extremely accommodating. I felt as though she genuinely cared about me feeling confident and happy with my hair on the wedding day. In addition, she even included my mom in my first hair trial and gave her a hair trial as well. She was so kind, professional, timely, and approachable. I feel as though we truly found the best hair stylist for the big day. Thank you Stella!

Amazing!!!

Stella is amazing to work with!! Deciding how to wear my hair for my wedding day was stressing me out and I was very undecided. During our trial, Stella was able to help guide me and we tried out a few different looks until we decided on an absolutely beautiful style. ON my wedding day, she was so sweet and had a great calming presence that I did not feel stressed at all. She did a gorgeous floral placement on my hair as well – I was OBSESSED with how it turned out!! I was so lucky to be able to work with her and highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!!

Stella was the best!

My husband & got married June 26, 2021 after multiple postponements. Through all the postponements, Stella was extremely understanding. I can’t believe I was blessed enough to keep her with all the date changes. On my wedding day Stella and her assistant did four bridesmaids hair, two mothers, and my hair. Stella & her assistant arrived to the venue on time & stuck to the timeline perfectly. Stella even made the hair and makeup timeline to take that stress off my shoulders. Stella is sooo talented and a true artist. She is professional, reliable, & very kind. Please don’t think twice. Hire Stella!! :)

Stella is Stellar!!

I found Stella after she was recommended to me by a makeup artist that I had already booked for our wedding. Her signature style is EVERYTHING. It is exactly what I had pictured for myself and my girls on my wedding day! Boho, braids, romance, softness, etc. Her Instagram is a treasure trove of inspiration. She is so creative and innovative - she can truly do anything! Stella is also a superb listener. She took a muddled vision that I had in my head and made it into the absolutely perfect wedding look. She and her assistant worked with all 7 of my bridesmaids and made all of them feel individual, beautiful, and elegant. Stella is also excellent at communication, replying in a timely and calm manner, which is so important when in the trenches of wedding planning. She radiates calm and confident energy. This was incredibly helpful when we had to postpone our wedding not once, but twice, due to Covid. Stella was accommodating, understanding, and exceptionally helpful. I could not have asked for a better experience with her, and I will always cherish the memories of getting ready that morning with Stella and my girls! If you do one thing for your wedding today, make sure it's BOOKING STELLA!!

Dream Hair Stylist!

Finding a hair stylist that you trust for the biggest day of your life is so hard. I must have spent hours searching online and then I stumbled across Stella and I KNEW she was the one and I had to have her. I stumbled across this insane braid on her instagram and was so excited for my big day! She truly is a miracle worker. I never felt more beautiful and confident as I did on my wedding day thanks to make makeup and hair stylists. From the minute I started working with Stella, I knew how lucky I was to have her as my hair stylist. She is responsive, and she is so passionate about what she does. Not to mention how extremely talented she is. She is so easy to work with. She made all of my bridesmaids and mom look so beautiful and she's just a pleasure to be around. Future brides, do yourself a favor and book Stella. You will not regret it and she will make you and your bridal party look absolutely stunning!  Not to mention she will become a friend. I'm so extremely lucky to have had her on my big day and have her create an insane braid for me. I got so many compliments!

Creative hairstylist with amazing personality

Stella is creative, adaptive and can accurately articulate your hairstyle vision. She is so special to us because we had many little girls to beautify on our wedding day and she treated those girls like princesses! She was punctual, considerate, and so easy going to work with when it came to all 3 generation of women on our wedding day. I felt so relaxed and confident in her skills that I felt super charged for our wedding ceremony and reception. Thank you Stella... from me my superstar Bollywood mom and all 3 of our princesses!

We had a truly incredible experience with Stella for our wedding! She has now done wedding hair for multiple weddings in our family because we love her (and her work) so much! Stella made all the bridesmaids/family members look amazing and I absolutely loved how she did my bridal hair. Stella is so great at adjusting to preferences and making sure clients get exactly what they want.
