Shawna and JD did my hair and makeup for my wedding day, and they were an absolute joy to work with! Their positive energy and calming presence made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process.

Shawna did my makeup for my wedding and was incredibly attentive to my vision, making sure everything was exactly how I imagined. We did the trial run right before my bridal shower, and I got so many compliments on my makeup! By the time the big day arrived, I had just one small tweak I wanted to make — and Shawna nailed it. My makeup looked absolutely stunning, both in person and in photos, and I felt beautiful the entire day.

JD did my hair for my wedding, and it turned out exactly how I envisioned — and it lasted all night! During the trial, she happily created two different styles to help bring my vision to life. When the big day came, I ended up going in a completely different direction than what we had planned, so I was a little nervous since we hadn’t done a trial for the new style — but she absolutely nailed it. I couldn’t be happier with how my hair turned out!

Status Salon assisted me and my team with my wedding glam. JD is so kind and personable when I first talked to her. She surrounds herself with amazing staff with the same qualities. I had the pleasure of having Sydney(makeup) and Shawna(hair) a part of my glam team. They made sure my vision of hamu exceeded expectations and that I looked and felt amazing.
I definitely suggest doing a hamu trail with them (and in general) because you get to know these wonderful ladies before your big day but, you also get to see what doesn't work. Shawna was very helpful in making sure I had the hair style I wanted. When the trail didn't go as planned, she adapted and my hair was amazing and kept the style/curl even through wind and festivities.
For the wedding day, Sydney made my ladies feel comfortable and enhanced their beautiful faces. Shawna worked with all hair types so effortlessly. I cannot be more impressed and honored to have had the Status Salon with me on my wedding day.

JD, Elise, and Cassie have exceeded my expectations and contributed to making my wedding day so memorable and smooth. From the first day of an inquiry phone call, they were so friendly, professional, and clear about expectations (services, potential timelines, prices, etc.). After booking their services for my wedding, they were very responsive through their communication portal and always made me feel valued even though I felt silly asking some possible “obvious questions.”

I decided to move forward with doing a hair and makeup trial run a couple of months before my wedding, and I would highly recommend this! I know wedding budgets can be tight, but I am so glad I did a trial because it helped me establish an even stronger rapport with JD and Elise and they made the experience so comfortable and fun (their staff who checked us in were also super sweet and welcoming!). I am not someone who does my own hair and makeup often or even has much of an opinion what I think looks good on me. JD and Elise were so kind and professional and had me bring in inspiration photos that I might be interested in. They gave their insight and were super supportive about my ideas and I couldn’t be happier about what their final plan was! I felt so confident and beautiful, and I still looked and felt like myself, which was very important to me.

On my wedding day, JD, Elise, and Cassie were very punctual and stuck with the expected timeline seamlessly. All of my bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law, felt so comfortable and welcomed with their positive energy and that really set the tone for the rest of the day. JD, Elise, and Cassie were not only extremely professional and talented in their hair and makeup skills, but they are genuinely such kind, sweet, thoughtful, and respectful individuals, and that is what truly stood out to me during my time with them and I cannot thank them enough.

Shawna and Maddie were great. They came on time and we got everything done ahead of schedule. They were able to make all my girls look amazing. They all had different hair types and Shawna managed to get all their hair looking good and holding the whole night through. Makeup with great. Maddie really followed my vision for myself and the girls so well. Makeup lasted all night long!

My makeup and hair was amazing as well. It made me feel so confident on the day. And I really appreciated that they were able to come to my place and allow me to be comfortable all morning long.

The team at Status Salon were absolutely perfect! Communication with JD was excellent and things were set up smoothly. In preparation for the day, we booked the studio space available at the salon and worked with Shawna and Sydney, who were the hair and makeup artists respectively, on the day of our event.
It was an early start and the team was energized and ready to go as soon as we arrived. The bridesmaids and family members who also booked services were thrilled with their work and happy with their company. Both Shawna and Sydney took time with their clients to review photos and discuss changes to ensure that everyone was happy with the plan of action. Everyone was extremely happy with the results and had a lot of fun taking photos at the studio as well.
Shawna and Sydney were also very receptive of the feedback that I provided after our hair and makeup trial. They continued to have other suggestions throughout the preparation which (I believe) improved the result even more. Sydney even took the time to try different false eyelashes to make sure that I loved them. Shawna is also amazing with arranging flowers. We were unable to try this during the trial but once they arrived the morning of the event, she masterfully placed them in my hair. The final result was even better than I could have imagined.
We had so much fun working with the girls at Status Salon. The energy was at the max as soon as we started and did not fade throughout our time together. Shawna and Sydney are the sweetest and we were sad that it had to end. You’ll be in the best hands when working with any of the artists here.

JD & her team are outstanding to work with, and their hair/makeup results are amazing. We had originally scheduled a 2020 Covid wedding that we needed to reschedule multiple times, and their team was incredibly accommodating, patient, organized, prompt, and professional. Both of our stylists (JD and Morgan) did an amazing job on hair and makeup, and after my trial, they took my requests into account and made it exactly what I had hoped for. They are also so fun & the hype women we needed on my special day! One of the best decisions I made on vendors for my wedding day. They even do a complimentary blowout for brides that I used over 2 years later, and the team was as kind and welcoming as ever.

Shawna and Taylor were an absolute dream team for the hair and makeup glam on my wedding day! From my very first meeting with Shawna during the hair and makeup trial, she was not only a true professional but also a delight to get to know. Not only did Shawna work wonders on my bridal look, but having both her and Taylor present on the big day elevated the atmosphere, and they effortlessly fit right in. They walked me through the process of using clip-in hair extensions for the first time and offered valuable tips for hair and skin prep for the big day. Status Salon did services for myself, husband, both of our mothers & my maid of honor. Shawna was my artist for both hair & makeup - she is so sweet & we clicked at my trial! Day of the event it was so fun chatting with her & the rest of the bridal party. I'm so sorry I can't remember the name of the other artist, but she was so sweet as well. Everyone loved their looks & it lasted all night :)

The girls who did our make up were so sweet, friendly, and held conversation with all of us while we sat in their chairs. Personally I felt very included in the process of what would look good hair and make up wise. The girls input their advice professionally.
