DJ Russ has had a love of music from a young age and has carried this passion with him throughout his life. He found his calling as a wedding DJ in 2003 when he was asked to lend his professional sound system for a friends wedding. Instead of simply fulfilling this request, Russ stepped in as the lead DJ and Emcee for the event. With guests impressed by his stylish sounds and crowd engagement, he booked two further wedding events that very night, and Squawkbox Sound was born. I always enjoy working with Russ. Every time I see him as the DJ, I am so relieved. It is so important to have people who know what they are doing on your wedding day, you really won't understand how important it is until you don't have it. Hire Russ and avoid regret. I can't tell you how many times I have been working, when the DJ's equipment malfunctions, or the microphone doesn't work right, cursing out every third word. I have seen speakers light on fire because the DJ was pushing too much power to the speaker. This is the sort of thing that happens with less experienced DJs. Don't let this be you! Hire Russ, he is your man! Hiring a DJ isn't just about the music. The DJ is single handedly carrying your wedding party on his/her shoulders. The wedding Ceremony is for you as a couple, the rest of the night is a party for the guests. Russ does a fabulous job carrying the crowd. He is an amazing MC and he knows JUST what to play to pull the dancing into a frenzy if it starts to crash. He has a variety of lights, speakers, all professional quality.
Russ is an awesome DJ and a nice guy. I have worked with him several times over the years and he's always very professional and personable. He uses top of the line equipment and knows how to read a crowd and play the right music. I would definitely recommend him to anyone whose looking for an amazing DJ to make your special event memorable!
