WE COULD NOT RECOMMEND RICK AND HIS DJ ENOUGH! Seriously Rick made our day soooo special! He took the time to call me multiple times before our wedding to make sure every detail was gone over and perfect, he called my officiant to make sure she knew what to do and he called my day of coordinator to coordinate with her to make our day so special! We cannot thank Rick enough! I hope so see him at more of my family and friends weddings!

I can't believe this, but Cindy's review says exactly what I was going to say!! 😄 I'm a little jealous, I thought we were the only wedding Rick had that much fun with! That just goes to show you how great Rick is, he makes every person he deals with like they are number one and he will make your wedding a day to remember! We were merging two different cultures not an easy feat to pull off. Rick and his incredible DJ had an excellent music selection, felt the room and before we knew it the magic began and everybody was dancing and having fun! If you're planning a wedding a great MC knows how to make everything flow effortlessly. I don't relax easily, this actually happened and I enjoyed myself.... that is Priceless! Rick was the MC at our good friend's wedding back in 2016. He was also the MC at my sister's wedding in April of 2018. Then in September, Rick was the MC at our wedding. My brother just asked me if Rick does out of town weddings for his wedding next year. If you didn't notice the pattern, our family can't get enough of Rick! I cannot put into words how AMAZING this guy is! Not only is Rick easy to talk to and personable, he is organized and has the charisma/energy to keep everyone engaged during the reception. He is consistent, funny, and made our special day so much better!

We used Special Occasion Events, LLC (Rick and DJ Mambo) for our cocktail hour and reception. On the day of, we had some technical difficulties with the wireless mic from the venue. Without charging us extra, Rick and his team jumped right in and were able to help us get it up and running minutes before the ceremony. We also forgot to send Rick a list of questions for our newlywed shoe game. Instead of skipping it, Rick said it would be ok to text it to him right before! We can't thank Rick enough!

Family and friends have asked us where we found him and all I can say is that we were so lucky that we did! Weddings are expensive and stressful but this was a decision that I easily checked off from the start! The services they provided was very good value and I highly recommend Rick & DJ Mambo to any bride!

My husband and I live in Los Angeles but were planning for a Chicago wedding. We Skyped with Rick a few times and were able to nail down a schedule of events for our wedding, and passed along a playlist.

Our wedding went as smoothly as possible with Rick MC'ing - he kept the energy HIGH. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor - my guests could not stop raving about our reception the next day :-)

Hilariously, the day of our wedding it turned out Rick was my mom's salsa instructor (they recognized each other prior to the ceremony). So, if you want to work with a super nice guy to plan a fun event - GET RICK!

Rick and Christian were outstanding. Rick kept the flow of the ceremony and reception on time and fun as well. The music selections were a perfect blend of tastes for all. People still tell me what a great time they had.

Rick did an absolutely outstanding job as the MC at our wedding. We had a wide assortment of guests on a boat and really wanted everyone to just have a good time. Rick masterfully filled in the blanks between events (i.e. intros, cutting the cake, etc.) so that everyone knew what was happening and that they were enjoying themselves.

When it was time to dance, his energy kept the whole crowd out on the dance floor. Whether they could dance or not everyone wanted to be there with Rick, even my 80-year-old-grandma was up and moving with a smile on her face...MY GRANDMA(!!). While he was running the show, we never felt like he stole the spotlight from us as bride and groom. Rick kept everything happening with us in mind and we all had the best time of our lives. I loved my wedding day and it was a relief to work with Rick. Thank you Special Occasion Events!
