Cancelled week of my wedding
Less than a week before my wedding, over a holiday weekend, they canceled my photobooth service without any prior reminder, phone call, or attempt to collect the final payment beforehand. I received no “hey, your payment is due today” message, no grace period, and no effort to resolve the issue before they decided to cancel entirely. Doing so by messaging me through “theknot” on Memorial Day. Courtney did not call, email or text me. When she sent me the message through the knot messenger, I responded immediately to try and resolve and pay my remaining balance but she was unresponsive and would not answer my calls.
As a bride juggling countless vendors and deadlines, professionalism and communication matter — especially this close to an event. To cancel on a client days before their wedding instead of simply reaching out first is incredibly stressful and unacceptable customer service.
What made the situation even more frustrating is that their own contract language did not clearly state that services would immediately be canceled without notice due to a late payment. Yet rather than work toward a resolution, they chose to leave a couple scrambling for a replacement vendor days before the wedding.
Thankfully, I was able to find another company, but no bride should have to deal with this added stress during what is supposed to be an exciting week.
I would not recommend this company based on the lack of communication, professionalism, and consideration for their clients.
