Debbie from Sovereign Spirit is the spirit is the best. She officiated our 8/16/25 wedding in West Dover, VT. We live in DC and met her several times via zoom and once in person leading up to the big day. Her process is clear, fun and often felt like a date night as my now-hubby and I reminisced over how we met when deciding what to include in our ceremony. She was kind, easy to work with, skilled and professional. Her communication with us was excellent. She felt like a second planner of sorts in helping us keep the timeline and setting the structure and flow of the ceremony. We could not have imagined our day without her!

Debra was absolutely amazing! always answer my emails in such a timely manner and communicated clearly! she was such a hands on justice of the peace, she showed up early to help make sure everything was set and to help make our day go as smoothly as possible! she always reminded me not to apologize and it was our day! she truely was such amazing person! if you’re looking for someone that’s hands on and such an amazing person i highly recommend going with Debra!

Working with Debbie was a treat. We were searching for an officiant who would take the time to get to know us and our story, and she did exactly that. Debbie was very organized and laid out the timeline of our meetings, sent a questionnaire, and then closer to the wedding she sent a draft of the ceremony. We felt that Debbie captured our relationship beautifully and many of our guests shed tears during the ceremony. What I appreciated most was Debbie's calming presence especially when we were nervous up there. We highly recommend working with Debbie!

Debbie accommodated a last minute request for us- we were so fortunate that she had the time in her schedule. She truly went above and beyond and did more than we could’ve possibly imagined and hoped for. From the ceremony script, to rehearsal, to the day of coordination. She truly took the time to get to know us as a couple and made it so personable and special. She gave us tips and pointers for little factors and details we wouldn’t have even thought of and communicated every step along the way from the minute we met till the days leading up to our event. Her office space was warm and inviting, just as much as her presence. It felt like we’ve known her forever. We are so fortunate to be able to have had the pleasure and honor of utilizing her services as our officiant.
