Let me start by saying, it has been 5 and a half months since our wedding and people are STILL talking about the band. There was literally not one person who did not come up to us to tell us how great Soul Revival was. When I had my initial phone conversation with Justin, I immediately new I was going to get along with him and like his style. We spoke about what type of music we both thought made for a good wedding and I explained how I really wanted soul and funk classics that were familiar to many generations. My husband and I wanted everyone to be able to enjoy the music and not just the people in our age group. Wow, did it work. We literally saw people on the dance floor whom we had NEVER seen before! I am not kidding - I mean everyone from my 86-year-old great uncle to our young cousins. Also Justin was so laid back, easy going, and truly personable in our meetings - I was confidant the entire time that he would know just what to play to keep the party going; and going it did. The night ended with everyone chanting one more song and continuing to dance while the band members were putting things away. They were well worth the money and I would have literally NO Reservations recommending them to anyone...in fact..do it...now. Book them - it will be the easiest decision of your whole wedding. Oh and they also learned songs for us, including out 1st dance song - which they rocked. It was Tina Turner's River Deep, Mountain High, and it was so unbelievable I can't believe it wasn't one from their repertoire. Let me say it one more time AMAZING!

Soul Revival was by far the BEST thing about our wedding!!!!!!! The music was wonderful and all our guests danced all night, which was my biggest concern. I don't know why I worried b/c everyone loved it and so did we. Justin was so easy to work with and made Dale and I feel super confident in our decision to hire them. If you want an amazing, sick a$$ band for your wedding, hire Soul Revival!

Soul Revival was amazing at our wedding last month!!!! DH and I were thrilled with their performance, everyone was dancing and they really made the wedding!
We knew as soon as we met with Justin, that they were the perfect band for us. He was so easy going and anwered my thousands of questions. He was always very responsive to my many emails and phone calls, especially regarding our song requests. We had hired a dance instructor for our first dance and I was super concerned about how it would go with a live band playing it instead of the cd we had been practicing with. I voiced my concerns to Justin (many many times as I am a bit OCD) and he reassured me that everything would sound perfect. He was right!
Overall, I was thrilled with their sound, songs and responsiveness. I cannot recommend them enough!!!!!!

Finding Soul Revival on CraigsList was probably one of the best things that happened for us. Justin who manages the band, is such the professional and extremely accommodating. Even with last minute song choices, they came through for us and tried their best to make our night as special as possible.

We had a 7 piece band (male & female vocalist and saxophone) which totaled to just slightly above 4k. Everyone raved about the band at our reception and because they're a soul/jazz band, it was AWESOME hearing their own takes/versions on classic hits like Billy Jean and our first dance song (Feels like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk).

We were very impressed and would definitely recommend!

It upsets me to not be able to write a fantastic review for the band because the quality of their music is absolutely great. The musicians are all really talented and the singers are magnificent.

However, the band took two very long breaks during our wedding. We didn't have a particularly long reception so the breaks ended up really cutting into the dancing. No one danced at all during the breaks. We asked the band to learn 6 songs for us but they only played one or two of them during the wedding. Our wedding coordinator was frustrated that the band did not follow her directions regarding timing.

I would recommend this band for their quality musicianship and unique song list but with the understanding that the difficulties that you might find working with them.

These guys are a no go they book bands who are not even under their names and them cheat them out of proper payment.

My name is Nicole, i met Justin through a Berklee Site. He asked for a band with a band leader which I am. Justin booked my band Gimme 5 for a holiday party in New Hampshire December 15,2018 and wanted us to go under the name “Soul Revival” since it was contracted. I agreed and was okay with it in the beginning thinking that this would be an honest transaction. During the gig the crowd loved us so much so they they wanted to book us for overtime. Out of respect for Justin i emailed him about. Typically the way I do business with my band Gimme 5 I try not to cheap people out of money. Justin however is money hungry. He sent the guy Paul who he had the contract with a request for 1800 dollars and only payed my band 750 of the 1800 he sent Paul. When questioned he came up with an excuse that made absolutely no sense. I am a business major at Berklee and also apart of an agency who takes 20% off top which is the industries highest. Justin took more than a 55%. As a musician you would think that another musician would be fair but Justin is greedy. He used my band last night for clout which indeed he got because again the crowd was amazed and wanted to book us for another gig immediately the following weekend and wanted us to play more which I refused because of being cheated by Justin under Soul Revival. This morning he received an online review and blamed my band for the review from an unhappy client based on the way he treated us. Thank you to who ever Kelvin is, I appreciate that you understand what happened and I am grateful you spoke out on our behalf.

Avoid The Soul Revival Band at All Cost!!!!

We booked Soul Revival Band for our wedding and were EXTREMELY disappointed. The Soul Revival Band will put on a beautiful showcase when you go see them play, but once they book you and take your money, they DO NOT CARE about your event. They took more breaks than they played and tried to duck out 30 minutes early from our event by lying to us that our MaitreD said the event ended at 12 instead of 12:30. When I confronted the MaitreD, he said that is what the leader of the Soul Revival Band, Justin, told him and not the other way around. If you want beautiful music and musicians that care about making you happy, then AVOID this band at all costs. I usually never write reviews online, but I was so devastated after this band ruined my wedding, that I want to spread the word to all future brides so they will not feel the hurt I went through.
