From the first day I spoke with Amber about my big day, she made me feel good about the services her team would provide me with. She was very transparent with pricing, and even has a spot on the website for brides to upload inspiration photos for wedding looks. It was easy to schedule a trial with her, and both Amber and Megan made it clear that they wanted me to feel good and wanted me to share any and all feedback about what I liked and didn’t like about the test run. This all made me feel at ease in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

From the moment we started, they made me feel comfortable and confident. Megan worked her magic on my hair, creating a beautiful updo that was both elegant and natural. Despite the windy weather at Branford House, my hair stayed in place all day and night and I didn’t have to worry about it once! Amber’s makeup artistry was just as impressive. She created the perfect glowy, natural look I had hoped for. Even when I got a little teary-eyed during the ceremony, my makeup stayed flawless.

Amber and Megan also worked with my bridesmaids and my mom, and everyone looked stunning. It was such a special experience knowing that everyone was so well taken care of, and we all felt beautiful.

From the makeup trial, to the day of Amber and team were great to work with and our hair and makeup came out exactly how we wanted it. Working with Amber was amazing. She was extremely responsive and helped organize an efficient timeline for the day of. Her team also included a hair stylist and they were both so great to work with. Amber and Kristy did an amazing job with hair and makeup for my May 2025 wedding in Mystic. I also had hair/makeup done for my rehearsal dinner with them, which I would highly recommend to fully relax and enjoy the night before. Amber and Kristy arrived to our home on time the morning of the wedding and were finished with plenty of time before the official festivities began. I hired Amber and her team for hair and makeup for 9 women including myself. They went above and beyond with their attention to detail and professionalism. Communication was always easy and quick, and the girls brought such an uplifting energy to the getting ready room! Everyone (myself, 2 bridesmaids, MOH & MOG) looked gorgeous and felt confident and comfortable. They worked with each of us to create an individual look that suited us best and answered any questions we had- not to mention they crushed it with timing and we stayed exactly on schedule.

I wouldn’t change a thing about the getting ready process for the day and can’t recommend Smudge enough for hair & makeup services!
